Book club – Update.

Ok, I know I’ve stopped reading, but I have a really good excuse. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been moving. I’ll be 100% moved in on Thursday the first of April.

So that means, I’ll be able to start up the Lockup Library Book Club right where we left off. In fact, I kinda jumped in right where I left off the day before yesterday.

It’s been a while, so I’m still getting up to speed from where I left off. Have y’all still been reading? I feel guilty for not reading. However, one of the first loads I took were all my books. But a couple of days ago, before work, and with a cup of coffee, I dived back in.

It’s gonna be nice to just sit down in the mornings, and read for a little bit.

So bear with me book nerds! I will return!!

Last book haul before moving

First things first – I’m terribly sorry about the complete lack of bookish posts here. I’ve been working my way through the full series of Downton Abbey. And preparing to move. I’ll be moving in about 2 weeks.

But I did go into SlightlyBiggerTown today, just to get some odds and ends for The Flat. With that, I visited the second hand store, and hit the motherload. 3 Stephen King books in one place!

And, just so you know, they’re already packed. I think I’ll need one or two boxes more and I’ll have all my books packed. Crazy, since when I got here in June, I only had 7 books.

Until next time, book nerds!

Lockup Library – retail therapy edition

Yesterday, I had a lot nervous energy. We were closed, so I told NewGirl I was going for a walk.

And walk I did.

Right to the second hand store that just opened again. After a twenty minute wait, I went right the the book section. Within seconds, I had a couple of books. The Twilight actually has the Life and Death novel where it’s gender changed. New Moon – just because. And the 50 Shades? Why not? Might as well have the crappy fanfic of the Saga.

Don’t you judge me… 💀

I’ll admit, I felt better afterwards. I really did. And the best thing, all for $5

They’re already in the bookcase.

Question: should I take my grammas Louis L’Amour books? She’s offered them for me to read. Who knows, maybe I’ll be in the mood for a good western novel. They used to be my grandfathers.

Until next time, book nerds!
