Who has two thumbs and already has a cat on my lap?

I slept like the dead last night. But that was to be expected. Up at 4:30, work all day. Come home, and hang out with the beautiful one until bedtime. So yeah I was up for a few hours yesterday. But I slept, and once I can get my eyes to focus at the same time, I’ll be right as rain.

I’m closing for the rest of the week. Then I have Saturday off, work all day Sunday, then I’ll be on a bit of a winter holiday. After last year of working Christmas and New Year’s Eve, BossLady has given me a couple days off during both holiday weeks. So that’s a noice thing for sure.

But all that hinges on me actually getting up and getting some more coffee. I hate having to move a cat, especially Chaucer, but this will be service a dual purpose: bathroom, and coffee.

Again I was up before the alarm. Way before. It started at 2:20am. Then the next time I was up was 3:15. Then 3:45. Then 4am. Then finally 4:26. That’s when I just got up and shut the alarm off before it even had a chance to turn on.

I did my usual early morning stuff. Feed the cats, coffee, clean the car off. Start the car. A couple of minutes later, I left for work where I shovelled while I waited for BossLady to come in. Then I did my opening duties, and went back out clearing the area.

It was slow, but we did some cleaning and what customers that did come in, we took care of them. But now I’m home, and I already have a cat in my lap, and the other reaching out to keep a paw on my leg.

I bought mushrooms for Crystal’s burger tonight. I didn’t ask because she’ll always say no. So it’ll be a surprise for her tonight.

And we’re expecting more snow I believe. Good times.

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

Got started a little later than normal. I was a slug and didn’t want to get out of bed due to the warmth it was providing to us. But soon or later I’d have to emerge from my cocoon. So I figured it was time, and my body lurched to life.

It’s Sunday, and Crystal tells me it’s just about time for some freezing rain. Well, that’ll be fun for sure. Who doesn’t want freezing rain. It sounds like a perfectly good gift, considering the streets in TinyTown are pretty much just pure ice with some gravel thrown on it.

So, sure. Let’s add some freezing rain to the mix.

It all be fine. We’re a hardy people here.

Says the man that preheats his bed, because he’s a princess that prefers to have a warm bed, so his toes don’t get cold.

Yep. It’s a Sunday. Chore day. Laundry will be starting soon. Just after some more coffee to you know, help focus the eyes.

It’s finally my weekend! Worked and drove over semi-questionable roads to SlightlyBiggerTown and have returned full of Subway, and ready to play Persona 5 Royal. Then I remembered that I had to preach to the masses first.

So here I am. I woke up this morning around 5 this morning, and didn’t want to get out of bed, so I dozed until about 5:25. That’s when I noticed that the alarm wasn’t even set. I must have shut it off when I set the alarm last night. So thankfully, I didn’t sleep all the way in.

Work was slow to begin with, but Saturdays usually are, but it started to pick up as I was leaving. So there’s that for sure.

So now I’m gonna relax and recharge, chore day tomorrow. Woot!
