I have slayed the grey!

Yes, it’s true. I have no grey models any more! They’re all built, and have been primed. That’s a hella big accomplishment for me. So now all I have to do is start to paint them. Crystal has been doing some painting for me. I can make the normal troops look all the same, it’s a very basic paint scheme. However, it does make them a little boring. So I asked Crystal to make some of the named models pop a little.

And she did. The ones that she started to paint look amazing. She’s also made all my bases. She’s way more creative than me. I hope she gets feeling better soon. Poor girl is sleeping on the couch right now.

Model Monday – the final push

Ok, it’s time to stop being lazy. I’m so close to finishing the Combat Patrol box.

I have to finish it. I have one Battle Sister squad, and the box will be done.

Let’s not be lazy today and actually do something other than sitting in the couch.

Sure, I talk tough, but I’m really going to try and push to finish these Sisters, and at the very least, get them friggin primed.

Hobby time – painting the Sororitas Rhino

Last weekend was the best weekend. I started painting again! While Crystal was painting her space roach (coast to coast), I decided to paint my Rhino transports. I think so far, they’ve turned up pretty good.

Painting for me can be kinda stressful. I dislike doing things more than once or twice. But with painting you have to do many thin layers.

Nevertheless, he persisted. The nerves settled as I painted. I made some mistakes, but tried to fix it as I went.

I think they look pretty good….

…. so far!

Happy Thursday morning everyone!

Model Monday – Warhammer crafting

AKA – I forgot how stressful painting is.

It took me 2 tries and about 45 minutes to paint basically one colour on the base of Eddie the Eversor.

I actually had to strip it once and reapply the primer. Well, Crystal reapplied the primer as I’m not to be trusted with it.

While I struggle, Crystal is flying through the bases for the sisters. I’m still trying to come up with a good name for my army. Our Ladies of the Blessed Change? Too wordy?

I have a bit of a headache, so I think the painting is done for me for the day. Last night, I dreamed of dry brushing. Last night. I haven’t painting in like two years, and the day before I start painting, I dream of it.

Weird.
