Model Monday – Warhammer crafting Shawshank, December 13, 2021 AKA – I forgot how stressful painting is. It took me 2 tries and about 45 minutes to paint basically one colour on the base of Eddie the Eversor. I actually had to strip it once and reapply the primer. Well, Crystal reapplied the primer as I’m not to be trusted with it. While I struggle, Crystal is flying through the bases for the sisters. I’m still trying to come up with a good name for my army. Our Ladies of the Blessed Change? Too wordy? I have a bit of a headache, so I think the painting is done for me for the day. Last night, I dreamed of dry brushing. Last night. I haven’t painting in like two years, and the day before I start painting, I dream of it. Weird. Tiny Town Hobby Shop Nerd Tuesday – magnets and milliput, oh my! December 7, 2021 In an effort to earn her keep here at the flat, Crystal is doing the artsy fartsy stuff that she’s really good at – basing, and in a new twist magnetizing the Triumph of St. Katherine. I’m not allowed to hover, so I’m watching an old Tabletop Tactics battle. Yay! Read More
Tiny Town Hobby Shop Warhammer Monday – the start of the build October 17, 2021 Tomorrow is the day. The day I start to build The Triumph of Saint Katherine. I’m nervous about it. It’ll be the biggest model of my army so far. But like Crystal told me today – just take your time, and read the instructions. Just like with the LEGO. So… Read More
Tiny Town Hobby Shop Model Monday – the final push January 17, 2022 Ok, it’s time to stop being lazy. I’m so close to finishing the Combat Patrol box. I have to finish it. I have one Battle Sister squad, and the box will be done. Let’s not be lazy today and actually do something other than sitting in the couch. Sure, I… Read More
Good morning, and welcome to Tuesday. I have sunshine and clear skies and a wind that doesn’t look bad, but I fucking know better than to go out there. This is not the day to act a fool and spin poi. Shawshank and I spent a lot of yesterday afternoon painting various bits of plastic. He stopped for a bit in frustration. He’s out of practice, as am I. I haven’t done much with my own minis. I primed them, and that’s it for the moment. Fortunately, neither figure is something I wanted to paint with a strong color gradient. I don’t have an airbrush setup here. I have an airbrush, but no readily accessible compressor, and certainly not a hose. I’m trying to paint marble with nothing but black and white primer/paint rattle cans. Not to brag too much, but I’m pretty fucking impressed with how it’s turning out. Last night’s trash dinner was almost as amazing as the tiny marble. Almost. We’re making fried chicken tonight, which promises to be as good, if not better. Like this:Like Loading…Related Posts:ADD TO WISHLISTjust fucking foundSpin meSunshine and poi and trucks Reply
