We just want to dance here, someone stole the stage

Podrick let us sleep, until he didn’t. Thankfully I raised my arm when I did, otherwise a very solid 3 or 4 pound cat would’ve landed on my face. He’s just being, well, Podrick this morning. We was snuggled in between us this morning, then suddenly his tail caught his eye, and he chased it up and down us.

Look, they can coexist together!

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. It was a Sunday shift – open to close. But it was a wicked slow start, with pockets of it being busy. We helped customers as best we could, while trying to keep the store nice and clean. It was my coworkers last day, and that means that I got to take a video of my coworker locking up the store. I actually remembered. I took the video, and wish him well with his wedding coming up in August, and him actually moving back to India. I can’t wait to get pictures of the wedding.

I have a weird work schedule this week. I’ll be doing the chores, and laundry today. I think I’ll have to head up to the post office and grab the mail and deliver it up at Shady Acres. I’m sure there’s bills in there that I should take care of.

But first, coffee. Lots of coffee.

Yeppers, I’m awake. Got a shift at work today. Actually all day, but shhh, it sounds better when you just say you have a shift. The temp has changed, and I was freezing this morning. It’s gonna free really good when I crank the shower this morning.

The temperature has cool today, and the weather has followed. It’s gray and raining out there. It doesn’t seem like it’s too breezy, which is nice. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be a full rain day, just the next couple of hours … hopefully. Podrick wasn’t too bad last night. He mostly entertained himself – with the toilet paper. I had gotten up in the night, and there was a small pile of it on the ground.

He snuggled Crystal a little while I was wicked cold. not one snuggle for me! But it was nice that he wasn’t running around too much last night. I don’t know when he crawled up to us. Ok, let’s get some coffee back into my mug.

Raise you hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by Podrick.

Good morning fellow humans, I hope y’all are still alive after a lit 4th of July. I know it was a party here I worked until 9, and when I got home, The Beautiful One was playing Balatro. Boy do we know how to party!

I think I slept with all my limbs as close as possible to my body last night, I’m a little stiff this morning. I think that Podrick was snuggled under the blankets this morning. I think I gave him pets.

Then he woke up.

Then he found his tail.

Then he started to chase his tail.

He’s either currently antagonizing Pippin, or they’re together enjoying the morning sun. Either way, it’s quiet, and I don’t want to jinx it. So I’ll let it go, until I need to get more coffee. I just had to look. They’re both on the table. Baby steps.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

It wasn’t a great sleep last night. I was too warm, I couldn’t get comfortable. It was just a really light sleep. I got up many times in the night. It just wasn’t a good night. Podrick didn’t help too much either. He was chasing his tail on top of me this morning.

It was a mixed bag of weather here last night. About 5 or 6 thunderstorm warnings, lots of thunder, and a little bit of rain. Then the tornado warnings started. I think we got 3 or 4 warnings over the course of a couple of hours.

Spoiler alert: there were no tornados.

But there was no major issues at work, except pump one went out last night. No matter what I tried we couldn’t get it back online. So I chalked it up for: that’s a future BossLady problem, and cordoned it off, and went about the evening.

One last shift, then a day off. I’m working with GenAlpha tonight. He’s been training on days, so I won’t just be a cashier tonight. He can hop on the register at anytime. W00t!

Sometimes you tell the day by the bottle that you drink

The tiny orange menace let me sleep again. He’s so good in the morning lately. I guess he was snuggled in between us. I was waking up after Crystal nudged me, and he started to purr. I’m sure now that his tummy is full, he’s bothering Pippin, even though I don’t hear anything. But, if I get up, I’ll disturb them if they are sitting quietly together.

It’s been warm the last couple of days. Like late July warm. June was a bust weather-wise, but Canada Day was wickedly nice and hot. Same with yesterday. I think though, today, it’s gonna be a little cooler out there. I just checked the weather app, and nope, it’s supposed to be a little warmer today. High of 86° for today, but mostly overcast.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. A couple of nice rushes, but we managed to get through them. I wonder what’s in store for the day today. Crystal got a new game for the Switch yesterday, and was playing it last night when I got home. It’s called NieR: Automata. I’ll probably try it Saturday when I’m off, as she told me I need at least an hour and a half for the first section.

But right now, I need some coffee to help shake these cobwebs out of my head. I had an allergy attack last night, because I forgot my allergy meds. I won’t be making that mistake today, that’s for sure.
