Goin places I’ve never been, seein things that I may never see again

Awake. The alarm was set for 6am. That was unneeded, as my dad didn’t get home until 12:30 this morning, so the note I got this morning says we’ll leave around 10am. Sigh. I can’t go back to sleep once I’m awake. I basically got up, turned on the shower, and turned on the coffee. And now here I am. So you now get to read whilst I wax poetic for a while.

I had weird dreams last night. I was getting all sorts of weird calls, some spam, some like I said, weird. I got into a fight with my mom for some reason, and I woke up from sleep or a nap in my dream, and I remember saying “I hope you’re happy, now I’ll be in a bad mood all day…” weirdness for sure. I’m not in a bad mood. I’m sleepy, but that’s what I get for getting up early. Read on!

Small town living. Here in TinyTown, the sidewalks roll up at 6 when the grocery store closes. Sure, the “C Store” is open until 9, but that’s about 2km outside of town. Then it’s quiet. You can hear cows mooing. Some cars drive by. People wave at you. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to waving back. People are so nice here. But people definitely move at their own pace here. It’s relaxing, and frustrating at the same time.

I applied, and was approved for my provincial health card two days ago. I should have it in about 2 weeks. Then, I can get photo ID. Then, I can apply for a drivers license. Hopefully, I don’t have to go through the graduated license program. If I do, I’ll have to have a licensed driver with me for 2 years. And part of the testing includes parallele parking. In about the 20 years (rounded up) that I’ve been driving, I’ve never had to parallele park before. I understand the theory, just have never had to. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

This coffee tastes so freakin good right now. I need more.

Good morning! Happy Saturday! Today is the first day in about a month or maybe more, that I actually slept through the night. All night.

Today, we were supposed to go in to SlightlyBiggerTown to pick up wood pellets for the stove by my dad came home last night saying change of plan were going to go Sunday. Great. The original plan was we were supposed to go Friday. If we followed that plan, the pellets would’ve already been here…

So I slept through the night and didn’t fall asleep at a crazy hour, and I read some more of Ship of Theseus. I made it to the interlude and decided to go to sleep. I’m really enjoying it, even though I’m still confused. I think I’ll keep it. Haha

But I do have another “what did Shawshank watch on VHS this time?” It’s a classic, and very well known, and quotable, so I’m going to make this a little more difficult for y’all. Only 2 pictures. Take life from tomorrow, cause I’ve burned out today

Good morning! Here’s a coffee cup salute to everyone! We made it to Friday! I knew we would!now y’all just have to make it through the shift with out beating anyone to death with a spatula. It’s gonna be hard, but I know that you can do it. You gotta have faith, playa!

I had a pretty good sleep. One dream in particular, waking me up, because I was annoyed. Lol. Crystal and I went out to eat. It was a place we’ve been to before, but everything changed about the place. It turned in to a shitshow. We ordered, they gave us extra fried fish which we didn’t order. Then they lost our order. Then we got up to dance I think, and they gave away our table. Dream me lost it. Then we were at a wedding and we were all supposed to get money, but it was only the rich people that got the money while the normal people like us got nothing.

Ok let’s play another round of “what did Shawshank watch on VHS this time?” This one should be easy, if you have any taste in cinematic genius.

Now, if you can’t figure it out with those two pictures I don’t know if we should continue being friends. But I’d understand if you didn’t, but I’d also say you need to watch this movie. It’s a great popcorn flick, full of mindless fun, and cheese! But if you need one more hint, I’ve got you fam. Here’s the last pictures, and it’s a doozy!

I don’t wanna miss you like this

Worst. Sleep. Ever. I was so stuffed up. I couldn’t breathe, except through my mouth. I just want to take a pencil to my sinuses, and stab them until they drain. Add on to that by tossing and turning all night, because I couldn’t breathe. Then I was hot. Then I was cold. Then I had to pee. I woke up this morning with one of my blankets in a literal ball on top of me.

So yeah. Coffee is needed right now, considering I have about 10 minutes before my gramma gets up, and exclaims oh it looks likes it going to be a nice day today! No gramma, it’s -3 right now, it’s not going to be a nice day. It’s cold and windy and I want to be sleeping. But I can’t so I’m up. I have a headaches and I’m going to be grouchy most of the day.

The actual answer I give her; yes it looks nice out there. Yes, I had a pretty good sleep, how about you? Oh that’s good, I’m glad you had a good sleep.

Last night, while waiting for Crystal to finish with her Poi, and then finishing her phone call with her mom, I decided to hook up the TV to the VHS player. It took a bit of time because I was trying to hook it through the switch that also hooks up the PS2, Xbox, N64, and the GameCube. That failed last night, and I have no remotes for the TV or VCR, but I managed to get it to work.

Ugh. Standard Definition.

So my next challenge I think will be to try and hook up the gaming systems. But later. It’s coffee time. later we’ll be going into SlightBiggerTown to do some grocery shopping. That that’s also later. I can hear my grandmother moving down the hall.

Magic, madness, heaven, sin

It’s Tuesday. Yay. Only four more days until the weekend. You can make it. Excuse me for a second, I need to make some coffee. While I do that, practice your “this is gonna suck” smile. Get a pocket mirror. Practice. I’ll be right back.

I’m back. How’s that smile coming? Good, keep practicing. What’s the temp out there, you ask? Well, snuggle up! It’s currently -3c. And it feels like -7c out there. Yeah and the friggin birds are chirping out there.

I get to clean the basement this week, I’m sure I’ll have it done in a couple of hours. I’ve already told my dad I wouldn’t throw anything out unless he tells me too. That includes the bookcase full of VHS tapes, and that Sony MAVICA.
