Now I know your heart, I know your mind

Greeting from SlightlyBiggerTown. I had to drop my moms car off for repairs. I told them I was told I’d have a courtesy car, they gave me an Escape. They’ve gotten smaller since I own one. It’s like a small car now, not a tiny SUV.

I get in, see that there’s navigation. I put in the address for Tim Hortons, and punch it in. 1.2 km later, I’m sitting in it, literally across from the dealership. It was hidden by another building.

Now I have some coffee, and now I just have to wait for the truck to have the repairs done. I’ll be checking out places that are hiring.

But first coffee.

Will you defeat them your demons and all the non-believers

It’s cold out there. COLD. Don’t believe me? Fine. Look for yourself.

I’m gonna freeze to death. It is known.

I had a weird dream that I saved Homerlander’s life. You know Homelander from Amazon’s The Boys. Yeah. Weird huh? I haven’t even watch season two. It was probably all the commercials for it.

But it’s coffee time.

Later on today, when I wake up will be week two of the Lockup Library Book Club. As soon as I figure out what to talk about in it. Who’s bringing the fingers sandwiches today? You? Oh bless your heart. See y’all soon!

And Betty when you call me, you can call me Al

Happy Friday everyone. I think I pretty much slept like a log last night. But like Crystal, I don’t feel rested. Maybe it’s just because I just woke up, and I’m waiting for the coffee to brew.

The junk guys visited Crystal this morning and from what she says the kitties are not taking it well, and she saved some couch cushions to sleep on. My mom ordered her to sleep on something.

I’m a head of we’re I need to be for the book club, so contrary to what I told Crystal, I grabbed Sharp Objects to read after our video call. I’m pretty sure I’ve read Gone Girl before, but Gillian Flynn can paint a picture with words.

I don’t think there’s any plans for today. We did everything yesterday. Last night I was shown how to light the pellet stove. Which is good, because it feels like -12c out there.

Be safe everyone.

And the sky is a hazy shade of winter

It’s cold. It’s cold, and I didn’t want to get out of a perfectly heated bed. According to my weather app, from now until the 24th, there’s 3 days that will be above freezing. 3 DAYS THAT WILL BE ABOVE FREEZING.

I’m not ready for this type of weather.

My jeans are too tight to fit long johns under them. I’m gonna freeze, and break into a million little pieces.

I think I’m actually going to have to close my window tonight. I was cold last night. About 5 thins morning, I had to climb under all the blankets.

I got a nice solid hour of reading The Historian. It’s starting to roll along at a faster pace now. I’m really enjoying it. Two separate stories going at once. After Ship of Theseus, this is easy to follow!

The one weird dream that I can remember from last night was a little strange. I was back at the cadet camp that went to from 13-19. I think I was my normal age, but I was a staff cadet, just arrived for duty so to speak. The camp had changed, as it does over time. I was in one of the staff tents getting my uniform ready for the next day. All my old friends were there. I guess Crystal had shipped up all the stuff she didn’t want to bring with her – there were books, and random boxes of stuff. I got hungry, went out the back of the tent, found Crystal, and we hopped on a motorcycle, and went for pizza.

Then a quick random dream of me going into a second hand store, finding two original gameboys, and a couple games – and letters back and forth between the previous owners and tech support trying to get them to work properly.

Then my alarm went off.
