Rock on, ancient queen follow those who pale in your shadow

Sup, everyone. It’s bright and sunny, and very bright. It looks to be a nice day today. Good Sunday morning, my friends. I trust you had a good evening last night, and a nice morning so far.

Sorry if I bounce around, I’m still trying to wake up. When the alarm went off, it totally surprised me. It was a deep sleep last night. Last night, when my head touched the pillow, I was out. I don’t think I moved at all last night. I’m pretty sure I woke up in the same position as I fell asleep in.

We drove to SlightlyBiggerTown yesterday. It was a really nice day for a drive. And the grocery store was just starting to get busier as we were leaving. We didn’t have to wait in line at all. In and out in probably about 30 minutes. I looked at the list after the fact, we managed to get everything on the last, and I don’t think we got anything extra. We’re starting to get good at this again.

We came home, and put away the groceries, then we tucked into our subway sandwiches. Again, they didn’t disappoint. I ate the whole thing, and Crystal did as well. After lunch, I played some BotW, but then I passed the controller to Crystal.

And she kicked ass.

3rd Divine Beast for her!!

Awesomesauce!

Midnight, and I’m a-waitin’ on the twelve-oh-five

The cats were wrestling on me at one point this morning. It’s warm and sunny out there. They’ve just been getting up earlier and earlier. I was the wrestling mat this morning. Welcome to the first real day of spring. After checking the weather app, we’ve actually started out in positive temps this morning.

Needless to say, the table is set up, and Pippin is probably loafed sitting in a sun beam. She knows it’s getting warmer out there, and has been demanding the table pretty much every day over the last couple of days.

Good morning my friends. It’s Sunday, I think. It’s been difficult to figure out which day it is, because I had Friday off as well. But according to the calendar, it is Sunday. Chore day!

But before all that, I need some coffee. Lots of coffee. I was up a little early, trying to go back to sleep. I think I mostly dozed for about a half an hour before the alarm went off.

We didn’t really do too much yesterday. I played BotW. And by played, I wandered around randomly killing things. And gathering materials. I think one more day of doing that, and I’ll be prepared enough with foods and stuff, to actually start my one man assault on Hyrule castle. We’ll see. I’ve been in it, but yeah. With 3 out of 4 Divine Beasts, I’ll probably have to face two Ganons.

Other than chores and going over to Shady Acres, there’s not too much on the docket today. We’ll see what happens! Happy Easter 🐇

I can fly higher than an eagle for you are the wind beneath my wings

Welp, after writing the morning post, and after starting the chores, I fired up YouTube to find a video on the beginning of the Divine Brest that flies over Rita village – Val Medoh. I gathered some supplies that I thought I might need, then warped over to the village.

I had a test before I could start the beast. It wasn’t that hard and I got it on the first attempt. Usually I hate timed events, and I can never complete it on the first attempt. But nevertheless, I got it!

I think I only missed a couple of times. A few minutes later, I was standing on the deck of the beast, ready to tackle the puzzles. Let me tell you, these puzzles were a lot harder. With Crystal’s help, I managed to get them all in about an hour or so.

Then it was on to the Windblight Ganon fight. He was a little trickster, lemme tell you. He managed to hit me a few times, only because unlike the last fight, he moved around a lot more, and was pretty much a sneaky fucking Russian. So it took a little longer, but I managed to knock him down pretty quickly.

Thank god, for bomb arrows. I went in with about a 100, and I think I left with 65-70. I’m not too sure. But they’ve helped me twice now.

But when you touch me like this and you hold me like that

yawn. Good morning all you party people. Yep, it’s Sunday. We’re in the belly of the weekend. According to my weather app, it’s supposed to start snowing at any time here. The forecast says we’re supposed to be getting around 14-15cm of snow over the course of the day.

We play by different rules, north of the wall.

Yay. Snow.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, if you ask me. We got up, and had a damn good cup of coffee (or two), and we watch some Dateline. Crystal put her makeup on, then we took off to SlightlyBiggerTown. Crystal picked up some new comfies, and a really cute Easter bunny headband, gloves, and a tail. We grabbed some snacks, and moved on to the groceries.

We stuck to the list, which I pulled out (are we still not doing phrasing?) at the end, to find that we were right on. I paid, and we were on our way. We stopped at the weed store, and looked around. Crystal found an ounce that looked cool, and picked that up.

When we got home, we put the groceries away, and I turned on BotW. I had psyched myself up to do something crazy. After trying to upgrade, and getting a good nights sleep in Goron City, I travelled to Zora’s Domain, and (for me,) did the unthinkable. I started a Divine Beast quest.

To get in was crazy. I blocked as many ice chunks as I could, and destroyed the rest. After what felt like 20 minutes, I finally fought my way inside. That’s when the actual fun started. Puzzle time!

I will admit, that Crystal is the puzzle master, so she helped a lot. I wouldn’t have been able to finish the area without her. (She fought the beast after dinner) So hell she effectively did the zone twice. Once with me – giving me hints and a lot of help, and once on her account.

One down, three more to go. Still just as nervous! Even though I have one under my belt. We’ll see what I do next!

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago took a look around, see which way the wind blow

I think we managed to sleep pretty much most of the night. Well, I did. Crystal said she didn’t wake up as early as she has been. That counts as a win. I’ll take it.

Good morning Sunday! It’s kinda gray out there. But at least the wind isn’t blowing. And it’s not snowing. That’s a good thing if you ask me. I’d be happy if it didn’t snow again this season. That’d be ok with me.

Pippin, last night was a bit of a crazy cat. As I was falling asleep, I could hear her running all over the place. Those were the tunes of me falling asleep – Pippin crazy catting all over, and Chaucer singing the song of his people.

Crystal was falling asleep, so I went outside and asked if we could watch a little TikTok before going to bed. We watched for about 40 minutes or so, then we did our night time routine, and went to bed.

Before that, I got home from work and we hopped in the Hot Mess Express, and headed over to SlightlyBiggerTown for some weed. Before I went to work, I asked Crystal what’s a good or two that you haven’t had for a long time that you really want again.

She asked for sweet potato fries. And so we got some. We also got the fixings for burgers. We love us some burgers here at the Flat. So that’s what we had for dinner. And let me tell you, it was a terrific dinner. I’ve gotten pretty good at frying up some burgers.

We had also spotted some cinnamon buns the size of your head, so we picked some up – with the plan of getting noice and floaty, and having them at about 10 or so. Crystal microwaved hers, and I had mine straight out of the package.

It was good. So good.
