- My wife asked me to stop singing “Wonderwall” to her. I said maybe –

Happy 4th of July from the Great White North. I was figuring that I’d be doing yard work with my dad today. I slept in, and got up about a half hour later than I usually do. There were storms again last night, with something called “sheet lightning”. I woke up at one point, and thought my parents ran a speakeasy. All I could see what the strobe light effect of the lightning.
Anyways, up at 8am, fully coffee’do by 8:30. I’m. The. Only. One. Awake. Finally by around 10am, dads up. It’s now 1:11, and Shady Acres is all asleep. I have a feeling, that about an hour before dinner, I’ll be out with the Roundup, killing weeds.
Shady Acres is late to rise, and early to bed, by 8:30 they’ll all be asleep. I’m going to find a different place to sit and talk with Crystal, so my allergies don’t kill me. I miss the fireworks, but I miss being with her way more. I can’t wait to talk to her on the phone tonight.
I love her sofa king much. I can’t wait to celebrate Canada Day with her next year. TOGETHER.
Happy Canada Day, everyone! This is my first Canada Day in Canada in about 19 years, I believe. I don’t know what’s going to happen in Tiny Town, or even here at Shady Acres. The weather outlook isn’t all that great. Thunder and lightning are expected. (I’m writing this a day early, and tonight, we’re expecting hail, lots of rain, and possibly tornados.) Everyone, everywhere always says if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes. Here, that’s also true. It was drizzling while I was out, and now I just heard thunder.

I think that’s all I have to say right now. I’m still getting used to thinking about, and then putting it into words.
Happy Canada Day!
It’s a grey day here at Shady Acres. The alarm went off at 7:30, and I got up and dressed. I was warned that there was a little bit of drizzle. But I got up and dressed to run anyways. I managed to do 1 loop this morning. Disappointed with myself. It’s cool, and I could’ve done a lot more. But I didn’t. Wednesday I want to do 3 loops.
Got home, watched some news, and the changed it to Discovery Velocity. Some Canadian based reality shows. Then I got up and sliced some bread for the week. Instead of buying bread, it’s cheaper to make the 4-5 loaves. So my job is to slice all of them.
Grey days like this make me loagy. It’s too damp to do any yard work. But it is what it is, hopefully I’ll get out of this funk today. I’ll make it a good day, I know it!
Happy Monday, eh?
