It’s astounding, time is fleeting

Whenever a Blue Buffalo commercial comes on TV, my mom yells at it. She must really dislike Blue Buffalo pet food. Today, I went to get the mail. She got a really nice pair of sunglasses. She never ordered any sunglasses. Her card was never charged, and they’re not prescription. Everyone in the house wears glasses. It came from China. So who knows who ordered them.

It’s like walking into 2003

The Walmart in SlightlyBiggerTown. It’s old, small, and is like walking into one in 2003. I think it’s the last Walmart with the old logo still on it. Way to stay relevant in small town Canada.

I don’t really have anything else to type, I just wanted to post this picture. Heh. Silly Germans.

Also, I wanted to post that picture of Edward beatboxing.

Upstairs and down the hall

My grandmother was up before me today. I know it’s two things:

  • She went to bed at like, 6 last night.
  • She has a hair appointment this morning.

She always does this. If we have some where to be, she’ll get up hours before. Because it usually takes her about 3 hours to eat breakfast, because she plays on her iPad, and forgets about her breakfast. So literally within 5 minutes of me getting up, I’m having a full blown conversation about why my father didn’t bring the trailer back to work, and how there’s two coffee pots in the kitchen, and how she prefers instant coffee.

Me in the other hand passed out at 9:40, and I don’t think I moved until sometime in the middle of the night when I had to pee, and then about 5:30 to pee again. Then I slept until my alarm went off. And the best thing; I’m not sore at all! That’s definitely a good thing.

Yesterday we went to SlightlyBiggerTown to finally get the wood pellets. We had lunch, where I had a shit-Tonne of bacon. It was glorious. They loaded all on the trailer for us, minus 30 bags – which due to a communication error, we’re sold. We have to go back and get them, as well as drop off the pallets. We get back to TinyTown, and we got 120 40lb bags downstairs and set up just how my dad wants them.

We don’t need that bum Tom Brady anymore! 1-0 baby! The road to the Super Bowl goes through Gillette baby!

Goin places I’ve never been, seein things that I may never see again

Awake. The alarm was set for 6am. That was unneeded, as my dad didn’t get home until 12:30 this morning, so the note I got this morning says we’ll leave around 10am. Sigh. I can’t go back to sleep once I’m awake. I basically got up, turned on the shower, and turned on the coffee. And now here I am. So you now get to read whilst I wax poetic for a while.

I had weird dreams last night. I was getting all sorts of weird calls, some spam, some like I said, weird. I got into a fight with my mom for some reason, and I woke up from sleep or a nap in my dream, and I remember saying “I hope you’re happy, now I’ll be in a bad mood all day…” weirdness for sure. I’m not in a bad mood. I’m sleepy, but that’s what I get for getting up early. Read on!

Small town living. Here in TinyTown, the sidewalks roll up at 6 when the grocery store closes. Sure, the “C Store” is open until 9, but that’s about 2km outside of town. Then it’s quiet. You can hear cows mooing. Some cars drive by. People wave at you. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to waving back. People are so nice here. But people definitely move at their own pace here. It’s relaxing, and frustrating at the same time.

I applied, and was approved for my provincial health card two days ago. I should have it in about 2 weeks. Then, I can get photo ID. Then, I can apply for a drivers license. Hopefully, I don’t have to go through the graduated license program. If I do, I’ll have to have a licensed driver with me for 2 years. And part of the testing includes parallele parking. In about the 20 years (rounded up) that I’ve been driving, I’ve never had to parallele park before. I understand the theory, just have never had to. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

This coffee tastes so freakin good right now. I need more.

Your butt is wide, well mine is too

I was conscripted to help my mom bake. And by help, I was given a recipe and told to make a pumpkin roll. I’ve never made a pumpkin roll before. It’s just a thin cake. What could go wrong?

I had to put walnuts in it.

Yeah, it’s that bad!

It didn’t turn out too bad. It came out of the oven and I immediately rolled it. Then let it cool for about 45 minutes – I could’ve let it cool another 15ish minutes. Then I put the cream cheese frosting in it and rolled it again. Here’s where mom started to hover a little. She did the dusting of powdered sugar.

I probably would’ve skipped that part.

Not too shabby
