But I’m like a fish out of water, down here on the farm

So first things first. I’m about 8.5 hours late on this post, but I’ll get to that. Yesterday we drove into SlightlyBiggerTown so I could take my written test to start the process to get my drivers license Long story short, with a quick transaction to my local (USA local DMV), I got my license transferred up here! I don’t have to take any testing, or even have to parallel park. In a couple weeks I should have a envelope in the mail with my DL.

I drove us home yesterday afternoon.

This morning, I was up an hour early, because I was going with my dad to the farm, to spend the day farming with him. I’m a real farmer now:

I PEED ON A TREE, YALL

And I also ran back into town to get some parts for a tractor that broke down. But before all that, I found an awesome radio station on Sirius; 90s on 9. Omg. Serious turn up the music and sing along, which I did, loudly and terribly.

We farmed for about 4 hours, but then the rains came. We got rained out. Hard to harvest when it’s pouring out.

I had a lot of fun, hanging out with my dad. I even drove a tractor!

But I think I’m just gonna relax for the rest of the night. Happy Wednesday!

I can hear it in my heart, vibrating strong

Good morning, happy Tuesday! I’m up, dressed, and have coffee. Today is the day, that we travel into EvenSlightlyBiggerTown for my written/signs test for my learners permit drivers licence. I’ve taken countless sample tests, and passed every one of them.

It’s just going to be a very long day. We have to wrangle my grandmother in the truck. She has an hour and a half to get up, get dressed, and eat her breakfast. Then get gas, and drive like 2ish hours.

I just have to remember to take my time with the test. I know this stuff. It’s easy. Just about all of these rules are universal. Just have to force myself to read everything through, and think logically.

I got this!

I hope.

That’s great, it’s starts with an earthquake

Good morning y’all. I can hear the coffee brewing, and I’m dressed, so I believe it’s Monday. It’s still gray outside but it looks brighter than yesterday. The weather app says it feels like -1c out there. Thankfully, I’m inside.

Yesterday was pretty quiet. I helped my dad winterize his camper, so that took an hour or so. Broke up the day, which was nice.

She’s perfect ❤️

Not too much going on today. Quiet in the morning, and then a trip to SlightlyBiggerTown to do some grocery shopping, and to recycle the soda cans. I’ll be hopping over to the bookstore to check out their wares. Probably nothing, but I’ll check it out anyways.

Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high

So the next couple of days is gonna be a blur here in TinyTown, I figured I’d do a couple more book questions while watching Pacific Rim.

A book with a male protagonist, and one with a female protagonist.

I had to scan my book shelves, to see if I had a book with a female protagonist, and I found one. Like everyone says about books being made into movies or TV shows, the book is so much better then the show. NOS4A2 is a brilliant book. Vic McQueen discovers with the help of her bike and a torn down covered bridge, that she can find lost things just by thinking about it, and driving through the bridge. A vampire discovers this an terrorizes her from the time she’s a teenager to the time she’s in her thirties. I don’t want to give too much away, but I really enjoyed reading it. Sometimes it helps me to watch the show or movie first to help me picture the characters, it helped me in this case. I knew what was going to happen because of the show, but lemme tell you, things unfold so much differently and better in the book.

Male lead books are so much more plentiful. It seems that almost every book on my shelves are male lead, so I had to think about which one I wanted to talk about. I chose The Raw Shark Texts. It’s about an Englishman named Eric Sanderson. He wakes up in his bedroom with absolutely no memories of himself or anything else. He’s told by his psychologist that dissociative condition, but following a trail of clues written by himself he finds that he’s being chased by a conceptual shark named a Ludovician that feeds off human memories. It’s a mystery, part horror, with just a touch of romance thrown in. It’s a great and original book for sure.

A (way too) romantic book, and an action book.

I have a couple of action books on my shelves, most of my books I haven’t read yet, and I’m trying to keep with only the books that I’ve read. So here’s my action book, even though most of the action is in the last third of the book, I’d still consider it action. The book I chose is The Escape Artist. It’s the story of Jim Zigarowski who is a mortician, discovers that the US Army’s Artist-in-residence that was supposed to have died in a plane crash is still alive and faked her death. From there, it’s an unlikely team up to find out who wanted her dead.

And now, I’m sure you know where this is going with the too romantic book. Yep, that’s right, Twilight. It’s the classic girl moves to new town, meets a boy. Boy turns out to be a vampire, girl falls in love with vampire. You know the age old story. Ain’t love grand?

I could make you scared, if you want me to

Good morning all. Welcome to a gray and blustery morning here in TinyTown. I think it rained most of the night. I was tossy turny all night. The cold meds I took in the late afternoon affected my night cold meds, and I was in that weird really light sleep until, I guess around 1 or 2 in the morning. Then I passed out and mostly slept until my alarm scared the poopies out of me

Coffee stat!

Other than having trouble falling asleep, it was a deep sleep, so that’s good. I chatted with Crystal for a while last night, and it’s my favourite part of my day. We talked about books and everything that came to mind. It was a great chat.

Today, I’m going to work on some German and answer a couple more questions from the book blog that I found a few days ago.

But first, coffee. Happy Sunday everyone!

This edit, is very cool. It think it’s one of my favourites.
