When the sun’s comin’ up I got cakes on the griddle

Good morning all my city folk friends. It’s a bright and crisp day out here in the prairies. We’re up, and I’m dressed, Crystal is wearing her rammy jammies. Coffee is brewing, and we’re prepping to go out to the farm.

Crystal has been promised that she’ll be able to drive a tractor today. I’m very excited for her. I think she’ll have a lot of fun today.

But before we do any of that, we have to wake up and to our regular morning routines. It’s not bad. I’ll walk up to shady acres to grab the truck. When I’m finished with this I have to text my mom for a zip lock back of stuffing for sandwiches. I forgot to grab some last night.

And then tomorrow, we can sleep in!

But let’s get through today, and our pot of coffee. We’ll figure out tomorrow, we’ll, tomorrow I think.

Happy Monday!!!!

But I’m like a fish out of water, down here on the farm

So first things first. I’m about 8.5 hours late on this post, but I’ll get to that. Yesterday we drove into SlightlyBiggerTown so I could take my written test to start the process to get my drivers license Long story short, with a quick transaction to my local (USA local DMV), I got my license transferred up here! I don’t have to take any testing, or even have to parallel park. In a couple weeks I should have a envelope in the mail with my DL.

I drove us home yesterday afternoon.

This morning, I was up an hour early, because I was going with my dad to the farm, to spend the day farming with him. I’m a real farmer now:

I PEED ON A TREE, YALL

And I also ran back into town to get some parts for a tractor that broke down. But before all that, I found an awesome radio station on Sirius; 90s on 9. Omg. Serious turn up the music and sing along, which I did, loudly and terribly.

We farmed for about 4 hours, but then the rains came. We got rained out. Hard to harvest when it’s pouring out.

I had a lot of fun, hanging out with my dad. I even drove a tractor!

But I think I’m just gonna relax for the rest of the night. Happy Wednesday!
