I feel magic when I touch your dress silk and satin, leather and lace

*yawn* Sup bitches, it’s ya boy Shawshank. I’m tired, and we’re under a thunderstorm watch, as well as a tornado watch.

Good times.

Man, 4:30 comes early in the morning. That’s the only thing I don’t like about first shift. Getting up. But I got up, and survived the work day. It was another slow day, but we did some projects in and around the store. Before we knew it, the grocery delivery made it to the store, and was put away before second shift got in.

The view at 4:30 in the morning

As I was driving to Shady Acres, the radio cut out, and my phone scared the shit out of me – tornado warning for the area. Great!

RESPECT THE POLYGON.

So I make it to Shady Acres, and with helped with replacing the wax ring for the main toilet in the house. Took about a half hour or so, and I walked away feeling confident that I could probably do it by myself, if needed.

Now, I’m back at the Flat, with my dirty toilet clothes in the wash. Crystal is playing her video game.

It’s too late to take a nap.

You take the high road, I’ll take the low. There, the crevasse, Fill it with your mighty juice

Up early again. But thankfully, while it’s still windy, the sun has decided to make an appearance. It’s almost 70° outside right now! I’m currently sitting on the pirate chest, because Chaucer is sleeping in my couch hole. Pippin is on the cube. Crystal; on the floor sewing m, and cleaning up her pants that she’s going to sell on Saturday.

Work was even slower than yesterday, if you can believe that. Everything that needed to be done is done, and I’m very happy to be at home again.

Other than that, I don’t have a lot to talk about today. Just another day in TinyTown. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing out there.

Gotta have a friend in Jesus

Good morning, hello! Well, I’m sure it’s morning somewhere in the world. I just got up from a nap, and had a really good kitten snuggle. The nap, was ok. I don’t really get into a REM sleep. Just a light sleep, for an hour or so.

Work was, well, wicked slow. Like the slowest I’ve seen in a while. No morning rush, just people randomly coming in. It was a long shift for sure today.

I spent a good while yesterday, working in the garage with my dad. He’s been more active lately. The day before he and my mom walked around the block. Which is amazing, but he over did it a little. Yesterday, he almost was like his old self, minus the cane. It was really nice just being around him.

I mowed their lawn yesterday, but that also meant that we had to get the ride-on actually running. I think that took about an hour or so, but we got it. Dad was starting to lose steam though when we couldn’t get the push mower running. I got most of the lawn done with the ride-on.

Back to work again tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will have stopped by then. However, it’s supposed to be windy again for the next couple of days (yay). So we got that going for us. But for right now. Kitten snuggles on the couch with the Great One. Happy Monday y’all.

And I’m a gentleman so without a pause I brought her a case of Claws

I think the wind has finally died down to a controllable breeze. Right now, at least. Good Sunday morning my friends. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing.

The coffee has finished brewing, and of course, Dateline is on. You know what that means, right? We’ve come to the ass-end of the weekend, and it’s chore day here. Later on, I’ll be doing some lawn work over at my parents place. I’ll have to take some allergy pills before that.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad. We drove to SlightlyBiggerTown, and split off in to two separate teams. Me to the cell phone place, and Crystal to the second hand store.

After what felt like 2 hours, we finally walked out of the store. I’m now the owner of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The main picture of this post is the first photo on the new phone. I think it looks pretty good.

From there, we hit the bargain store, the pharmacy (I had to pick up a prescription for my mom.), and then it was time to get out of dodge. With a quick stop at Subway.

I dropped Crystal off at home, and dropped the truck and prescription off, and walked home. We had an amazing lunch, and I got all the apps to start downloading. Crystal played her game until it was dinner time.

After dinner, we started the rewatch of Outer Range. The second season dropped last week, so before starting the new season, we need to refresh our memories of the show. It’s just as good as I remember it.

Back to work tomorrow. Early shift.

Hopefully the wind stays down.
