So I don’t know how long this post will be. I think I only got about 3, maybe 4 hours of sleep. I was high as balls when I got into bed. Then, boom, I was sober, and my mind wouldn’t shut up. It was literally like flipping through tv channels. I couldn’t stop.

The only thing that I managed to figure out, was what I was going to eat at work. And, I even had a back up, in case what I wanted was sold out. The only thing I didn’t do was, crumble up some Doritos on top. I thought that might be a little too decadent.

So now I’m on the couch. I’m refusing to take a nap. I will sleep soundly tonight. Goddamn it, I will sleep like a little fat baby.

It’s warm. It’s warm in the bedroom. It’s warm outside as well summer has arrived! The warmth is a little more difficult when you’re trying to sleep. But we made it through.

I’m sure there will be people complaining about the heat today. That’s ok. We listened to them complain about the cooler weather, and the rain as well. It’s summer time! Let’s enjoy it!

Winter is coming.

Yesterday was a nice day. We went out to the farmers market, and had a walk around for a little while. Nothing caught our eyes, so we went back home. I cooked up a nice brunch, and we sat stuffed for a little while.

We were watching a National Geographic, and we had an unspoken conversation. I was trying my hardest to stay awake. Crystal got up and grabbed a pillow. I invited her to the bedroom to nap. I can’t nap on the couch, and she can’t nap in the bedroom.

After we got up from our nap, we popped over to Shady Acres for dinner. After dinner, we came back and fed the kitties. I shaved the sides of Crystal’s hair, and then:

If I were to go to the ice cream place, what would you want?

I grabbed her what she wanted, and with what I wanted, we had a feast of ice cream.

It was a pretty great day, if you ask me.

It’s a given LA law, someone’s faster on the draw

I’m still trying to focus my eyes. I was dead asleep, then just awake. So the old eyes are having some trouble focussing. The kitties have been fed, and the back door is open for them to survey their king and queendoms.

I was out at a drop of a hat last night. At one point in the night, I felt a kitty climb up and snuggle behind my knees. Then my mind said to itself, don’t don’t don’t move, the cat will get up and never snuggle you again. So please, don’t move. Then I fell back to sleep.

But we’re up, and the sun is mostly shining. The basic plan today, is to do my chores quickly, I did the laundry yesterday, have brunch, and then head out to a farmers market for the rest of the morning. Should be a fun morning. Well just have to be a part of the crowd lol. Maybe we’ll see something that catches our eye.

Singing “Sweet Home Alabama” all summer long

I managed to sleep in until 7:30. That’s pretty good, if you ask me. It’s bright and sunny this morning. *checks weather app* it says that the sun will be eaten by clouds after 9 this morning, and it’ll just be cloudy all day.

The family BBQ at the old folks home was pretty nice. The food was very good, and they had a bouncy castle. Gramma was in “a bit of a mood”, and was pretty quiet all the time we were there.

After the BBQ, we went back to the flat for a little while, and then I was off to work. Work wasn’t too bad. Mostly steady for the evening, but got quiet closer to the end. It was totes manageable, and we were out right on time.

That brings us to today. I don’t have any plans for the day. According to the town newsletter, there’s the weekly farmers market happening tomorrow. Maybe we’ll check it out. We went once last year, and had some fun just looking around. If anything, it’s something different to do. I don’t know, I’ll talk to the great Crystal about it later.

Yep, it’s the weekend.
