Like a band of gypsies – we go down the highway

Shawshank, December 6, 2020

Good morning! Happy Sunday! The coffee is brewing and it’s a brand new day! Today will be a busy one. I’ll be heading by myself to BiggerTown to do my shopping.

Two hours there. Shop. Lunch. Maybe a little more shopping, then two hours home.

My list is simple

  • Body pillow
  • Melatonin
  • More undershirts
  • Shoes
  • Razors
  • Lunches for the week

All stuff that’s a lot cheaper at Walmart than it is at any of the stores in either SlightlyBiggerTown. Then tomorrow, when my mom goes to SlightlyBiggerTown to get the oil changed, I’ll babysit gramma. At that time, if I don’t do it when I get back to the house today, I can work on the book club, and a book haul post that I’ve been meaning to do for a week or so.

But for now, coffee.

Happy Sunday y’all.

Good morning all you glorious motherfuckers! It’s Sunday, and it’s actually sunny, and somewhat warm outside. All the rugs are out there and I even washed the garbage can. The lone load of laundry has just finished being washed. And I should get all up in there to put it…

Good morning everyone. It’s a chilly grey windy day out there. I should get up and close the windows. I should do it before I forget. There the windows are closed. Coffee is just about finished brewing. I don’t have a lot to report. I asked for my birthday off,…

Morning, folks. Welcome to Sunday. The sun is shining, Mal wants to be in my lap, and I would like the morning tea to wake me up.

It was an easy shift yesterday. I couldn’t remember if I was on the schedule until 2 or 3 pm. StressedRPh said I could leave at 2, saying “I think you’ve worked enough hours this week”. Fine with me.

The weather started to turn nasty around lunchtime. When I left work, we had some heavy rain, and the wind had picked up. On the way home, I stopped to the grocery store and grabbed some stuff for the week. Unfortunately, I made a mistake of shopping at the store closest to our house. They use paper bags, which pretty much dissolved on the walk from the truck to the front door. Also, in the span of the two minutes it took to go between the grocery store and the house, the weather turned to nasty snow.

We have a quick showing this morning. Fortunately, there’s not a lot of things I need to do before they get here. I have last night’s plate and a couple of cups to wash. I’ll put the dirty laundry in the washer before I leave. That will also serve as tidying up the bathroom, since the laundry is the one thing in there that needs to be picked up. While the people come in, I think I’ll go up to the corner store and grab a coffee.

The only other thing I need to do is talk to BossRPh about sleeping bag recommendations, and DayTech about a dresser she might want to buy. Shawshank plans to drive out to BiggerTown and do some shopping of his own. I might nap, watch THE SAGA or just load up Albion and kill shit online all afternoon.

It’s about that time to refill the mug and put some clothes on. Have a good Sunday, my friends.

The only thing I forgot was razors. That’s pretty good for me. I usually forget a lot more.
