Well, it’s about 20°s cooler this morning. It’s still humid, and we’re continuing our mini heat wave. Instead of a high of 94-96° like yesterday. Only a high of 87° today. That’s a good thing for sure.

We headed out to SlightlyBiggerTown for some supplies. We drove in comfort and air conditioning. We hit the grocery store, then the general store. Then the weed store and finally Subway. We didn’t get the SubDog. By the time we got home, it was even warmer. We put away the groceries, and ate lunch. Then we took turns with the controller, and played Roller Coaster Tycoon. It was a nice afternoon.

Had a little bit of a fight with a co-worker yesterday. The main drink cooler has been running hot the last couple of days. On Saturday evening I texted BossLady to tell her that the cooler hard been sitting at 48° for the last couple of hours. I didn’t get a response, and didn’t think anything of it. I told the Sunday co-worker that the cooler was running hot. He texted late in the afternoon saying it was now sitting at 50.

I told him, if he can’t get a hold of BossLady, to call the general manager. After about 15 minutes, I texted him back to see what the GM said.

He’s pissed off at management because he was passed up on assistant manager. A guy that’s been here only a year got it. And this co-worker has been here for 6 years. I can understand the frustration. We’ve all been passed over for promotions, etc.

So I’m sure I’m walking into a shit storm this afternoon. I did what I felt was right, for customer safety, and food safety. I believe I’m on the side of the angels on this one.
