Good morning everyone. We’re all awake here. Since we’re all awake, the TV is on, and since it’s the weekend, Dateline is on. It also looks like the wind has finally slowed to livable levels.
It was wicked windy at the top of the hill at work last night. But we managed to live through what was quite possibly the longest shift in the history of the world. Time just didn’t want to move yesterday. We’d have rushed that felt like they lasted a half hour, but when the rush was over, only 10 minutes had passed. Repeat all night.
Back to work this afternoon. And work all day tomorrow. Sundays are easy. One of my coworkers doesn’t like the Sunday hours because he has to do the opening paperwork as well and the closing paperwork all in one day. When I heard that, I was like really dude? Sundays are easy. We open at 10 am. The next thing you know it’s noon, and the next time you look at the clock, it’s 3 and it’s time to start all the closing procedures. I just shake my head. The 10-6 shift is so simple. I just fill out the closing paperwork at the same time as I’m opening.
