Book haul – I took my dad to the hospital edition Shawshank, May 3, 2021 So after I dropped my dad off at the hospital, I figured I had about 2 hours before I had to be back to pick him up. So I had some time. First stop – Value Village. I didn’t find anything of note there. Sadly. Then, after thinking about it, I decided to go to an actual bookstore. The book I actually went in for: If on a Winter’s Night a Traveller is nowhere to be found – I could order it, but any actual bookstore for pick up is two plus hours away, I could get it delivered, but then there’s the little thing of not having an actual credit card. So, I’ll wait for that. I did find some books though! Not a lot though, because I’m relearning how to be an adult, and adults have budgets. So instead of books, I’m choosing electricity, rent, water, etc. I did find two! So after the book store, and the endorphin rush ended, I was parked across the street from the hospital, and waited. I brought a book. I think I made about 20 pages, and my dad was ready to be picked up. So, the plan was, and will be for next week, that part of the weekend (after work) is to freakin buckle down and read, and hopefully finish Plain Bad Heroines. Until next time we meet, book nerds!
