Some Alabama-jamma, she my Dixieland delight (ayy)

Good morning bitches! It’s bright and sunny out there, and it shaping out to be pretty good out there. We have to go grocery shopping today. So we’re actually heading out to a different SlightlyBiggerTown, because they have an open thrift store. Crystal is in need of more funky sheets, so that’s where we’ll go.

The cats let us sleep until the alarm. I sleep all the way through the night. Of course, once the alarm went off, it’s a free pass to climb up on the bed to wake us up in only the ways that cats can. pippin is lounging in the front window, so that means Chaucer took over the back door.

It’s Juneteenth in the states today. I think it’s an excellent holiday, because I think this is a topic that we still need to talk about. We need to talk about it a lot.

Yesterday we went over to Shady Acres. I spent the first 45 minutes or so mowing my parent back yard. When I finished I was covered in dust and grass clippings. But it doesn’t look like a forgotten field, it actually looks like a backyard again.

Mom made tacos for dinner last night. She also tried a new recipe – Lakota Fry Bread. It was very very good! I am had a couple tacos. They were pretty good. Not spicy at all, but pretty good.

So yeah, in a few hours we’ll be heading out to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries, and to hit the thrift store. Hope y’all have a great day!

Fire all of your guns at once and explode into space

Good Sunday morning everyone! We’re face deep in the weekend now. It’s bright and sunny, and will probably be a nice day out. Today, I’ll be mowing the lawn over at Shady Acres this afternoon. My dad asked me in his way for me to do it – “you better take your allergy pills this weekend…”

So after doing all the chores here, I’ll be hopping on the ride on lawnmower, and spending an hour or so mowing their backyard. Lucky for me, there back yard is mostly covered in shade so it won’t be that hot back there.

But before all that, it’s chore day here. First up on deck is laundry. I’ll be doing the bedsheets as well this morning, so in a little bit, I’ll be stripping the bed. But I’ll need to have some coffee. But it should be a pretty good day.

Yesterday was pretty dead at work, but that’s to be expected. There was something much more important going on in town – Graduation Day for the high school seniors. I had a few people come in and look around. Only a few bucks in sales. But sales none the less. I got out of there pretty quickly right at two.

School’s out for summer school’s out forever

It’s bright and sunny out there, thankfully. It’s grad day here in TinyTown. This afternoon, 16 people will graduate. Then a little later on l, there will be a parade. I put the grad sign up yesterday. It’s crappy, but the best I can do with what I got.

Good morning but he’s, it’s a bright and sunny day. The birds are singing and the kitties are awake. For some reason Chaucer is staring at me. Pippin is spending her time at two places – the back door and the front window.

Happy Saturday everyone! What’s the good word today? I can tell you that: coffee. Coffee is the word of the day. The coffee has been brewed, and is being consumed as you read this.

Just a quick shift at work this morning, then I’m off for the rest of the weekend. We came up with some plans this weekend. I’ll come home and we’ll get a little high and watch the grass on the parade. Sunday will be business as usual. Monday, we’ll go do some grocery shopping, and hit up the second hand store. Should be a fun time for sure.

What’re your thoughts on brown sugar in your coffee? I’ve never heard of that!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Raise a little Hell, raise a little Hell, raise a little Hell

Good Friyay morning my friends! It’s almost the end of the work week! The coffee is brewing, and we have a Chaucer snuggling next to us on the couch. It’s a gray day out there. Just like it was yesterday, we’ll see if it gets any better today.

Yesterday was a busy day. I had to deliver some deck furniture to BossLadies house. That was a chore. The picnic table had to weigh about 200lbs. We had to go up 10 uneven stairs. My legs almost gave out, but we managed to get it up to where it was supposed to go. Yay!

After that we picked up a chair from a customers house, saying that we’d be back just after lunch. That promise was kept, and I dropped off the new chair, unpacked it, and set it up for the client.

Back to the store for the last couple of hours.

After work was done, Crystal cooked a great meal of veal, pasta, and Alfredo sauce. So very good. But it’s a new day now, let’s have some coffee, and get ready to greet the day!

Happy Friyay!!
