Your eyes get me drunk, stronger than hundred proof Shawshank, August 31, 2026 One more afternoon of work. Then a whole 24 hours off. I need this day off. Especially after working both days on the weekend. Saturdays, open or to close aren’t bad at all. It’s Sundays. They just feel so much longer. Plus over the course of probably the last two hours of work, we had more than five warnings of thunderstorms and tornados. Then we had 4 or 5 critical warnings that a tornado was imminent. In fact, my featured image has the formation of one, that touched down, and then dissipated. It’ll be a somewhat busy day tomorrow. I have to go the the insurance place and pay the bill, then laundry, we’ll have to figure out what we want for dinner, at one point in the afternoon, we’ll head over to the second hand store. Big telehealth phone call today. Not for me, but for my dad. They’ll determine whether or not to continue chemo and radiation, or let the cancer run its course. So sometime today, I’m sure I’ll get the update. Unlike the last update that I got at work, I’m prepared for this one. I know the answer I want, but that’s just me being selfish. So, whatever the medical choice, I know it’ll be the correct answer. But before I have to be an adult, I can sit on the couch half asleep, and thinking of coffee. So it’s Monday, and the sun is shining, and it doesn’t even look like there were multiple tornado warnings. So huzzah! Oh, and fun fact of the day: on this day in 1888, Jack the Ripper claimed his first victim, Mary Ann Nichols at approximately 3:40am in Bucks Row. Have a great day! Life Just you and me in a truck bed wide like a California King July 22, 2024 Well, the day started late. Yesterday, I was smart. I reset the alarm clock, so I wouldn’t have to worry about it when I fell into bed. I forgot to turn it on. I woke up at 4:20, and said, great! I have 10 more minutes of sleep. The next… Read More
Life They have pre-wrapped sausages, but they don’t have pre-wrapped bacon April 20, 2025 One last push, my friends. One more shift and I’m off for a day! I slept like the dead last night. I don’t think I got up in the night. I do remember Pippin yelling and her snuggling with me for a little bit. But she left when I tried… Read More
Life With the Furies breathing down your neck July 21, 2023 After a tossy turny morning, we’re both awake. Good morning, happy Friyay! It’s a bright and sunny day out there. Crystal has already brought out some crackers for her crow friends. We were both tossy turny this morning. I struggled to find a comfy position that I could breathe and… Read More
