World was in black and white until I saw your light

We’re all awake here. I don’t know where the cats are. But it’s quiet. Almost too quiet. Should I play the where’s the kittens? Or should I just let them do what they need to do. Hell, maybe they’re snuggled up on the back table in a sunbeam. update: Podrick is talking to himself, and I think he’s hanging out in the bathtub. As one does. You don’t? Well, you’re totes not in the know.

Allergies gone wild

It’s been hazy the last couple of days. We have two provinces, plus us on fire right now. We’re under a wildfire state of emergency. And the air quality isn’t all that great. Last night it looked like the Silent Hill fog was rolling in, but it was all wildfire smoke. welcome to spring in the prairies.

Today, we’ll be heading to SlightlyBiggerTown for some much needed supplies. The list has been written, and slowly being updated. We’ll be taking the big truck for the first long drive. It looks like it’ll be a nice drive. It’s usually pretty clear and relatively smoke free in the morning. Yesterday, the wind really picked up, and by the time I was leaving work, the smoke was noticeable, and you could smell it. By the time we were coming back from dinner, it was very smokey.

So let’s get this day started. It’s time to get things started, it’s time to light the lights. Well, you know, after some more coffee, and a chance to wake up. I still don’t hear the cats. I think they’re getting a long just fine. Yep. They’re snuggled together and totally happy together. That’s what I’m telling myself.

They’re good babies.
