Through barbed wire valleys and overgrown dells Shawshank, June 15, 2026 I was awake before my alarm, again. That’s on, I usually am, when it comes to work. I just don’t want to be late, and I think my mind does it to save me. But I woke up about 30 minutes before the alarm, and tried to sleep. I managed to doze for about 15 or so minutes. Yesterday was a really nice day. We didn’t do a whole lot of anything. We watched TV, and ate some pretty good food. I had to head over to Shady Acres, just for a couple of minutes. Just had to move a couple of things for my parents, and then I was back at The Flat. Just a quick 8 hours. I straddle the day I’m the mid shift guy. I bridge the gap between the closing manager, and the kid that’ll be working with him. I’ll be there, until the kid gets out of school. I’m sure the day will go quickly. Then I’ll be home for another four days. I’m almost 100% sure that I’m working next weekend, so I’m mentally preparing for that. Let’s go! Happy Monday, my friends. I’ll be getting extra hours today, because we’re having another design night. So hopefully my first check will look pretty good. So I get home last night… Read More
Life ‘Cause I’m fantasizing about riding my Chevy off into the sun May 1, 2026 I was up a little early. Nothing to really do with Podrick. One of the cats – probably Pippin, made it into the cabinet, and knocked over a jar of elastics. Hopefully, neither of them ate any of the elastics. They’re both looking out the back door now. Yesterday at… Read More
