Take a chance, roll the dice Shawshank, September 10, 2022 On Tuesday, September the 6th, I finished Campaign 2 of Critical Role – The Mighty Nein. To be honest, I didn’t think that I would finish it. I usually start lots of shows, but I rarely finish any of them. Especially new shows I’ve never seen before. I’ll always go back to shows that I’ve seen before. This one was different. This was a journey. There were MANY times that I burst into tears. There were MANY times that there was spontaneous laughter as well. A bunch of nerdy ass voice actors who sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons. That doesn’t even begin to begin to describe the characters they play. They are living and breathing characters. It made me laugh out loud, cry like a baby at times, all the emotions in between. 500 hours, 56 minutes, and approximately 24 seconds start to finish. I finished the campaign in about 9 months. I think that’s about the longest I’ve stuck with a single “tv show”. Thanks for the great ride, Critical Role. Is it Thursday yet? That’s right, 7 seasons, 143 episodes of the Fox/NBC show. I’m really hoping once they film and show the final season on real TV, they’ll move it over to Netflix… Read More
Tiny Town Home Video Home Video – The Hunger Games April 12, 2021 So, this week, instead of reading, I watched a trilogy in 4 parts. That’s right, movie nerds, I watched The Hunger Games. Based on a bestselling trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, we’re transported to the world of Panem. I won’t get into the whole history of the Hunger Games…. Read More
Tiny Town Home Video I have died everyday waiting for you November 8, 2020 Breaking Dawn pt 2. Otherwise know as the movie Shawshank ugly cries at the end. 15 minutes later, I’m still trying not to burst into tears. That’d freak out my mom, wouldn’t it? I’m sure if they even asked about Crystal, I’d burst into tears. I never used to cry… Read More
Having played DND back in the day, I love this! Have you played before? I always gravitated towards playing a ranger. 🙂 Reply
