I feel it in my fingers – I feel it in my toes

I woke up 1 minute before my alarm, and thought to myself, nice, I still got a half hour.

Narrator: he did not have a half hour.

Yesterday I told my mom that the bank of Canada will be removing Legal Tender status on the larger bills. Large bills like the $500 and $1000. She’s like this one? As she shows me a $1000 bill.

It is pretty impressive, to say the least.

I don’t think I have anything else to talk about this morning. I’m still mostly asleep. Happy Tuesday y’all!

He never hit the brakes when he was shifting gears

It’s dark out there. Like pitch black. And I’m awake. Coffee is brewing, and I’m just waiting for it. I slept pretty good until 6:14, when I think I was nervous about not hearing my alarm. So I was tossy turny. I did notice when I got up one of my blankets was on the ground. No wonder why I was chilly this morning.

Quick question; will weighted blankets help tossing and turning?

This is my first full week of work. I’m still very nervous, but excited. I really hope I can do everything. I need to save the money for when Crystal gets here.

Speaking of books, this isn’t a book haul or anything like that. Talking with Crystal last night. I said I found THE book. I don’t have to buy anymore books. That’s it, I’m done. I present to you

Boom. Mike drop.

They could care less – as long as someone will bleed

So my first night, my trail by fire went really well. Thankfully it’s not an every day thing. I didn’t get home till shortly after 10. About an hour after I take my sleepy time medicine.

So needless to say I slept like shite. Tossing and turning. Bad dreams. up early in the morning to go to the bathroom. Too hot too cold. You know that usual. The dreams were weird. My nephew broke his bike and I was the only that wanted to fix it. I had to weld a part and by the time I got back his dad bought him a new bike. And they all laughed at me.

The other dream, I was with my mother in law, and Crystal and I were asking for money to get through the month, and she said no she couldn’t afford it, and then her other daughter called and said her car broke down, and my MIL said no problem, and bought her a new used minivan.

That’s when I walked home. Suddenly I wasn’t in RI, I was in TotallyBiggestTown, and I was trying to find my way home. I was all alone and totally lost.

Today, thankfully, I go in for only a few hours, then it’s home to look after my gramma as my mom has to get a tooth pulled. Tomorrow will be my first full shift. And even though I’m tired and have a headache, I’m kinda excited to go.

Finally, a happy update!

Until I can get some time this weekend, so that The Editor can help me login so I can post myself I resort to emailing posts. I got a phone on Monday, my dad is lending me his old phone. He still has it, because he’s pretty much a low key hoarder. He has a wall of VHS tapes that he’s been moving for about 30 years. Still has a VCR too. But, I digress. Back to this sweet phone, it’s an iPhone 5 running, I think, iOS 5 or 6. But it does what I need it to do, and a little more. By little more, I can run Netflix, which means on the lowest setting Netflix has (4 hours will cost me about a gig of data), means that I can watch the third series of Dark. I just did a quick test, and I can watch and read the subtitles not too badly. I took two screen shots too

The town is really cute. There’s an air raid siren that blasts at noon. No one tolde about this, and I thought we were being invaded! No one paid any attention to it.

Today I started the yard work. I pulled weeds, and weed whacked the front and side yard, and around the planters my mom has. Tomorrow after my run, I’ll be working on the back yard. Then I’ll be spraying roundup on all the weeds. Last weekend my dad and I thought we fixed the leaking water tank on his trailer. Well, it’s still leaking, so I figure we’ll be under it this weekend too.

It feels good to be doing stuff again.

At 6pm, this town rolls up its sidewalks and EVERYTHING closes. I have been having a blast wandering around town taking pictures. I’m sure the whole town knows I’m here now. It’s that small. If you’re looking for a stop light, ya better find another town. But let me tell you, I think this town could use a bakery/coffee shop. Badly. Looking into home based businesses we could have a home based slaughterhouse. Crazy huh?

Ok time to end this post (written entirely on an iPhone 5), my meds are kicking in, and no one else is gonna do my run.

I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.
