Blacklights and a mirrored disco ball

Well, hello there. Are you here for the listening party for Chaucer’s new album? I’m so sorry, but the listening party, and launch have come to a close. Sales have been good on the new album. But now he’s sitting in between us smug.

Anyways, welcome to a dark Sunday. The sun hasn’t come up so it’s peaceful and dark out there. Soon, the sun will rise, and the day will start. Work today. It’s a 10-6 shift, and they usually go pretty quickly. So yeah, in a little bit, I’ll get dressed and have something to eat, and then I’ll be off.

I hear the Superb Owl will be playing today. I don’t really care about the teams playing but maybe Crystal will maybe be able to find a livestream of the halftime show. When I get home tonight I’ll try to find a compilation of the commercials.

But before all that is possible, I’m going to need some coffee in me. Happy Sunday. Happy National Pizza Day!

I recommend walking around naked in your living room yeah

Hey hey. It’s tired Shawshank. I was up at the ass crack of dawn today, and got ready for work. Before I knew it, I was at work and on top of the fuel storage to measure how much gas and diesel we have on hand.

Literally 100s of litres.

Work actually went pretty quickly. With the sun rising earlier, people in town are awake and moving a little early, so they come to us to get gas and snacks first thing.

After work I texted Crystal, who slept like a bag of shiz all night and we made the half hourish trip to SlightlyBiggerTown for some much needed supplies. With supplies in hand, we quickly stopped at Subway for lunch/dinner and came home.

We’ve eaten and now Crystal is playing Slay the Spire. I asked her to do whatever she wanted as she had a terrible sleep last night. I might even skip a shower, and let her take a bath tonight. To help her relax a little more.

Happy Saturday y’all. Back working again tomorrow.

Singing “Sweet Home Alabama” all summer long

I’m awake.

Chaucer woke us up early. And just cried and cried. It’s my fault because I got up at 4:30 yesterday morning. It’ll be a long weekend as I’m up early tomorrow, and not so early Sunday, but I’ll be up and out earlier than normal this weekend.

But we’re up and have coffee. And of course Chaucer is already sleeping in between us. He’s happy now that we’re awake. His world is complete, and he’ll be more than happy to sleep all day now.

I don’t have a whole lot planned for the day. We were going to go shopping today m, but with the crappy weather a couple days ago, we’ll probably head out tomorrow after work. But I will be popping out to work to pick up the stuff I usually go, and to get some gas.

I’ll figure out dinner later.

Maybe if Crystal gets Subway, I’ll get dinner tonight. We’ll figure it out.

I simply must go baby, it’s cold outside

So I wake up at 3am. I think to myself if I can sleep until 4:15, I’ll get up and get ready for work. The next thing I know the alarm is going off. For the first time in months, the alarm has woken me up.

It’s cold outside.

And very windy.

BossLady changed the schedule for today. Anticipating the bad weather, and said she’d probably be in after the sun rose. she changed me from 8-4 to 5:30-1:30. So that’s the reason why I was up so early. But now I’m done for the day, and have a day and a half off.

Yesterday was a nice day of sloth. I play a little bit of Persona 5 Royal, and then popped over to the post office to pick up my package. Crystal started to play Persona, so I watched her beat the game. And I finally got to watch the whole ending. It’s a good ending, but as far as I’ve read, not the true ending. I’m working towards that ending now.

I don’t plan on doing too much for the rest of the day. Maybe we’ll go to SlightlyBiggerTown tomorrow, or maybe after work Saturday afternoon. The weather and the roads will dictate that.

He wanted twenty-two bucks, but I talked him down to seventeen. I took it home, washed it off

Good morning my snowy friends. Yeppers, it’s snowing out there, just like they said it would be. It looks like we’re going to get a little less that forecasted, and shortly, it’ll stop for a few hours. Then it’ll start up again.

Last night shift was difficult. I spent a good 2.5 – 3 hours outside on a long rush of people. I was cold. But yes, I’m dressed correctly for being outside for 5-10 minutes at a time, not 3 hours. So it was a long cold evening. We were both very happy when it was time to finally close. The morning shift managed to handle 67 customers from 6-1:15. From 1:15 to 9pm we handled over 150 customers. There were two of us, and the morning shift had 3 people. So yeah, there’s a bit of a balance issue.

Meh.

But today I have a day off. That’s nice, because that’s to the snow and the expected winds tomorrow, I’m opening the store instead of being the mid shift guy. So I’ll be getting up sometime in the night to open the store. Woot woot.

Good times. In other news, it doesn’t look that bad out there so if my package comes in today, I may go and pick it up. We’ll see.
