Book Club – Confessions on the 7:45

Hey hey, book nerds! Welcome to another book club post. It’s mostly apologizing again, for not having the time this week. I started it last week about got maybe 20% through the first half of the book.

The book that I’ve chosen for January is Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger.

I’m sort of enjoying it. I don’t know though. I’m gonna stick through it though. Because that’s what I do. No books not finished this year. It does grab my attention. I just have to get in the reading zone again.

Until next time book nerds!

Book haul

Hey book nerds! Just wanted to do a quick book haul from SlightlyBiggerTown. I hope the second hand store here in TinyTown opens again soon because I really do miss going there. I went last Friday, and they had already closed for the new year. I don’t know when they open again. Hopefully soon.

Anyways, here’s my 3 book haul!

If anyone has the dust cover for Breaking Dawn, I’d very much like it. Message me, and I can give you address. I’ll send something back from TinyTown if you’d like.

Crystal says the the host is a better book than the movie. So we’ll see. Until next time, book nerds!

What’s your bookcase look like?

I’m a curious guy, I like to see what other people book shelves are like. When I got to TinyTown in June, I had 7 books. They, when stacked on the floor came to probably lower shin. I didn’t have a bookcase until July or August I think. My mom and I went to a yard sale where they had a metal 4 shelf bookcase. She bought it for me. By that time I maybe had 20 books.

Well, that bookcase is full, and the stacked pile on the floor comes to close to my knee. I’m working on finding another bookcase. As long as it’s inexpensive.

So what’s your bookcase look like? I’d love to see it.

Where’s your reading nook?

What’s your favourite place to read? Your Fortress of Solitude? Do you hid in the bathroom to read to get away from your kids? In the bathtub after a hard days work? Where’s your book nook?

Me? I’m a simple guy. I like to lay on my bed. That’s my Fortress of Solitude. I’m left alone when I’m in my room. When I’m in my room, I’m surrounded by friends. My friends are my books. Crystal is in my room too. There’s pictures of her all over the walls there. I’m not alone when I’m in my room.

I do all of my reading in there. It’s quiet and for the most part mine.

It makes me happy in there.

What’s one book that you wish you could read again for the first time?

I’ve always said that you can only read a book for the first time. You can only be surprised by a twist or a cliff hanger once.

Which book do you wish you could read again for the first time?

For me, it’s A Storm of Swords by George RR Martin. Yes, that one. For those in the know, they know what I’m talking about. Crystal does for sure.

This is the one book that I’ve thrown across the room once I hit that certain chapter. Do you know which one I’m talking about?

The North Remembers.

Yeah, I’m talking about The Red Wedding. Martins writing in that chapter is flawless. He navigates with expertise, I didn’t know what was happening until it was over. Cue throwing the book, and just rushing to get it, and rereading the chapter over again.

I wish I could read it again for the first time.
