They’re magically delicious

Good warm morning everyone. It’s gonna be a hot one today, and for the the next couple of days. It was also a warm one whilst we slept last night. I know I was a warm little camper last night. We slept above the weighted blanket, but under another one. As I was falling asleep, my mind was saying “climb up, sleep on top of all the blankets.”

I didn’t sleep on top all the blankets, but I might tonight – depending on the temperature of the house. Pippin is upset that I didn’t open the back door this morning. Have you ever tried to reason with a kitten?

Spoiler alert: you really can’t.

It’s like a sauna in here…

This weather isn’t supposed to even be here yet. This is August weather. But that’s ok, I think ol Mother Nature is trying to make sure that Crystal is comfortable for her first summer here. Why not bring the Florida weather for her?

We did a whole bunch of nothing yesterday. We did head out to SlightlyBiggerTown for some supplies. Crystal needed makeup sponges – we went to the dollar store to price them out. I believe that Crystal will be ordering them online.

From there I quickly ran into the grocery store. I needed cereal and coffee. I had just enough at the Flat to make it until this morning. So I grabbed some. From there to the weed store. I bought some “summer glass”. A small unassuming bong that’s actually taller than my coffee pot. It’s a big boy for sure.

We got home, and I unboxed it. – shit that could’ve been a great TikTok for Crystal. She could’ve unboxed it. And filmed it. Shitballs. Anyways, since it’s our summer glass, it will be used when we’re out on the lanai – provided we get some citronella candles or something out there to take care of the buggies.

We took a couple rips shortly after we got home. Crystal settled into a crafty project, and me, armed with some weed in my system went to work on randomly wandering around killing bobokins as I found them in TotK.

Today is chore day. Yay chores.

But before all that – let’s get some coffee in us. Happy Sunday everyone! Stay frosty out there.

Daring duck of mystery, Champion of right

Awake! The alarm went off, and I unstuck my face from the pillow. I was a drooler last night. Crystal was a little warm but I think I was fine. Maybe a little warm, but not enough to really do anything to my sleep. Pippin was snuggled at my feet this morning.

All the curtains are open, it looks like it rained a little bit last night, but currently it’s sunny and just a slight breeze. According to the weather app, there’s a 30% chance that it might thunderstorm around 12 or 1. We’ll see. The last week or so, it’s been told that it was going to rain, however it mostly drizzled and then fizzled out. It’s gone back and forth between sunny and then gray. Hopefully the sun will come out and stay.

We did a whole bunch of nothing apart from running to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries. We grabbed what we needed/wanted, and only forgot about a couple of things. After groceries, we stopped at Subway to grab lunch. We got everything put away, and lunch consumed – we turned on TotK. We took turns playing, and having fun. Crystal helped me through a quest in the Depths, and when it was Crystal’s turn, I gave amazing advice that caused her feather not once, but twice.

So I tried to not help after that!

Not too much on deck for today. It’s Sunday, so that means that it’s chore day, and dinner at Shady Acres. It’s a nice day where not a lot happens but things still get accomplished. I’ll start everything after another cup of coffee.

Sounds like fun? Maybe not a lot of fun, but shit needs to get done, and not all hero’s wear capes, so let’s just git er dun, amirite?

Yeah, let’s get it done, but before that – let’s have some more coffee. There’s prep work to do. I don’t want to start the prep work right now. Maybe in a little bit. But right now, it’s couch time with my beautiful genie pants wearing girl.

Blood in the streets in the town of New Haven

Hellloooo! Hap hap happy Sunday y’all!

It’s kind of grey and a little windy out there today. It’s all good, we’ll wear a sweatshirt or something when we go out this morning. It’s supposed to be mostly overcast today. But it’ll still be a pretty good day.

On the way out of town, I’ll grab some cash in case we find something that we like at the farmers market. It’ll be a good time for sure, even if we don’t find anything.

Since we’re going out this morning, and this afternoon is going to be spent at Shady Acres, when I got home I started chores yesterday. The laundry is done for the week, and the other chores shouldn’t take that long to complete. I should be able to get them done as Crystal is doing her make up.

At one point I got up in the early morning hours to go to the bathroom, and both kittens were snuggled up on the bed with us. Chaucer with Crystal, and pippin near me. It’s nice to have all of us snuggled up.

Now the major decision: shorts or pants.

Good morning everyone. Unlike the last two days, it’s bright, warm, and sunny outside. It looks like it’s gonna be a really nice day out there. I might even wear some shorts today. I dunno, we’ll see! The day is full of possibilities.

Of course one of the possibilities will be chores that need to be done. I’ll start that a little later. Right now, it’s Dateline, and coffee time this morning. And let me tell you, the coffee tastes pretty good this morning. I’m pretty good at the whole mixology of coffee grounds to water.

Yesterday was a pretty fun day, we traded back and forth playing the game. Later on in the afternoon, I suggested we drive into another SlightlyBiggerTown to check out an actually open second hand store, and as a bonus there’s a craft store that we looked around in. Crystal really liked the old patterns, but declined to pick one up. It’s all good, she found some awesome fabric/twin size sheets for more hippie pants.

The Avengers pants are going to look awesome!

I’m very happy that the sun is shining.

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell

Good Sunday morning everyone. We’re in the thick of the weekend now. It’s a little gray out there with a slight breeze. But it’s not snowing, so there’s that.

We were up wicked early yesterday to watch the Kings coronation, so around 10:30 last night we went to bed. Once I was comfortable, I was out. I crashed like Paul Walker*

Work yesterday was ok. There were a few people that popped in just “to snoop around”. I figured it out yesterday – there’s not a lot to do in these small towns, so in an effort to get out and to do something, people will drive from small town to small town to see what’s there. I totally believe that bored people would actually go to car dealerships you know, for fun.

After work, I picked up Crystal and we took off to the closest car dealership greenhouse. It’s not too far, pretty close to the only gas station on the outskirts of town. We wandered around looking at all the pretty plants.

We ended up getting some Brussels sprouts, morning glory, heartbreaker, and midnight sky. I can’t wait to see what they look like when they’re all flowering and looking good. And most importantly, we’ll hopefully have some yummy sprouts in a month or two. Bonus!

Today is chore day, I’ll be starting that in an hour or so. I need coffee first to power Big Chore. I contacted my landlady yesterday, and told her about the screen door. She gave me the contact info for the handyman, I copied and pasted the same text message to him, and he stopped by and took a look. He should be stopping by tomorrow to see if he can fix it. Thankfully, we’re not the only people that have a bum screen door.
