God rest ye merry gentleman – let nothing you dismay

Well hello there, dear reader. How’re you this fine Wednesday morning? What’s up? What’s the haps? I’m still not quite awake yet. I have my coffee, I’m dressed, I just need to wake up. Haha

So we’ll see if my coworker comes in today. Yesterday we walked in and told me she couldn’t feel half her face. She called, and then went to see her doctor. And then came back to work because the doctor didn’t specifically say she couldn’t not come back to work. But she did say she’d talk to BossLady and may or may not be in today. I’ll find out when/if she doesn’t come in today.

That was the excitement that happened yesterday. I don’t need that type of excitement!

Another damn fine cup of coffee. My complements to the chef.

Well I hope everyone has an excellent Wednesday. We’re almost to the weekend. You can do it. I believe in you!

Christmas in Rome

This is the second post with the awesome new graphic from Crystal! I love it! I forgot to mention it on last Sunday’s post. It’s perfect for when I want to talk about what I’m watching on TV or Netflix.

So for the first ever Lockup Library Home Video. I present to you a Hallmark Channel first; a documentary on Christmas in Rome. I’ve never heard of a documentary on the Hallmark Channel. So I was excited to watch, and learn about Christmas in a different country.

Narrator: it was not a documentary on Christmas in Rome.

Welcome to Hallmark Channels Christmas in Rome. A quirky rom-com. Stating that chick from Mean Girls. In this alternate universe, fetch never happened, and she’s living in Rome as a tour guide. She gets fired and literally walks into low rent Captain America. Who’s in Rome to broker a take over deal for a factory. He hires her to show him around Rome. The fall for each other, then a miscommunication happens, then he fights to get her back.

Hallmark ending. Everyone is happy. Cue Christmas music.

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer, and Vixen

Good morning. Happy second Monday. I was up before my alarm went off this morning. The weighted blanket had shifted. I must have been tossing and turning bad for it to almost be off the bed. I don’t remember. It did take me a while to fall asleep. Which is weird. I’m usually out like a light.

But today is a new day. It’s a good day, to have a good day. I tease Crystal about that, but I tell it to myself every morning, to help facilitate a good day. It usually works. So yes, today is a good day, to have a good day.

It’s warmed up a lot! It only feels like -16c out there with the wind chill. Without it -11c not too shabby. Thankfully, I have covfefe.

Happy 2nd Monday everyone! Let’s work hard and make this day feel like first Monday. But first Monday is a holiday, and you’re at home playing video games and eating chocolate chips straight out the bag. I love you.

3 popular books I’d like to read

There’s so many books that I’d like to read. If you looked at my hand written list you probably wouldn’t know where to start. Like I said, there’s so many that I want to read, I just picked 3 to talk about this fine morning

The Troop by Nick Cutter.

The Troop follows a group of Boy Scouts that have to battle tapeworms, and danger from within. Seems like an amazing physiological thriller. I’ve never had a book “scare me” before. Maybe this one will scare me!

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E Schwab.

The whole premise of this book interested me as soon as I read about it. An 18th century woman makes a deal with the devil to live forever, but is cursed to have no one remember her. Until someone does. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James.

Murder mystery in the 80s? Sure! I loves me a murder mystery for sure! I’ve ready it’s part mystery, and part ghost story. I actually think in one of the horror lists Crystal has sent me, that it was on there, and the cover caught my eye.

Honorable mention: Pine by Francine Toon. Described as a modern gothic horror. Sounds like I’d like it!

So there you have it 3 popular books I’d like to read!

A thrill of hope – the weary world rejoices

It’s cold out there. Damn cold. -31c with the wind. I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I laid there for a while debating on whether or not I should just go back to sleep I haven’t slept in since I was in Montreal.

I only got up once this morning. One of my eyes was really itchy. So I got up and put some water on it. When the alarm went off, I couldn’t open it. I had to use my finger to open it.

Usually when it’s this cold I wouldn’t leave the house, but today I have to go to the post office to mail my grammas christmas cards. Maybe I’ll put on my winder boots.

But for now, coffee. Happy Monday everyone.
