But from rooftop to chimney, from Harlem to Bimini

We’ll, I can say, I had a much better, and restful sleep last night. As soon as I got into bed, I was out until the alarm went off. I don’t even think that I moved too much in the night. The only thing I felt this morning was Pippin laying between us.

Then the alarm went off.

And 15 minutes later, here we are. The coffee is brewing, but we already have a couple of mugs full. The news is on, and the kittens are wandering around.

As I stepped outside, I can’t tell if it’s blowing snow, or if it’s actually snowing outside. Either way, it’s still really cold out there. The forecasted snow for Christmas Day, has dropped again. But there’s still a chance of the totals climbing again. So we’ll see about that.

I stayed home yesterday. I really think I just needed an extra day just to recharge my batteries. The weekend was a little too busy for me I think. I didn’t really leave the couch, and I feel better. Still run down, but I’m feeling so much better today, than yesterday at this time.

So technically, I have two full shifts, and a 3/4 shift on Friday. It shouldn’t be too crazy. But knowing BossLady, I’ll be run a little ragged. That’s fine. It’s almost Christmas. I’ll get through it. I always do!

A star, a star, dancing in the night

Good morning everyone. I’m here, I think. Are you? I slept ok last night. I feel as though I haven’t slept at all. I’m feeling run down and just off a little bit. I don’t know. I might text BossLady and call out of work today. We’ll see what I feel like in a little while.

Yesterday was sort of a long day. Mom and I arraigned the oil change for the Hot Mess Express, and I helped them move a new washer into their laundry room, and move the old one downstairs. Then it was sitting and waiting at the dealership.

I just feel run down.

Like I said, we’ll see.

Coffee has been brewed and is slowly being consumed. It’s cold out there – minus 41 with the wind chill. We’re under a extreme cold watch until this evening, I think.

I don’t want to greet the day. I just want to curl up. Hello, Tuesday.

Oh, I won’t ask for much this Christmas

Awake. The bed was so snuggly this morning. I didn’t want to get out of bed. But eventually, I had to get up, because I really needed to use the bathroom.

But eventually I got up, and started the day. Brewed the coffee, and fed the kitties. Pippin forced her way up on to my lap, and is currently very happy.

I’m sorry that seems like a short post, I’m still trying to wake up, and when I first wake up, my brain isn’t firing on all cylinders yet. I have to call in a couple of minutes for an oil change on the Hot Mess Express.

Let’s start the day and all that happy horse shit. Let’s do it!

Good morning. We, well, I slept in. I don’t know about Crystal, but I made it until 7:44 according to the alarm clock. I woke to Pippin leaping across the bed to attack Crystal’s fingers and toes. Every morning the girls play in the bed. It’s very cute seeing Pippin fox jump on toes.

‘‘Twas a Long day yesterday. Worked the Saturday shift. Actually had a good sale, and was just about to start pulling some discontinued fabrics when BossLady rolled in. Thankfully it was about 1:15, meaning only about 45 minutes left in the shift. I of course dropped what I was doing and did what she wanted. Under her direction I took about 30 photos of sheet sets, towels, sham sets etc, and put them on instagram stories. By the time I was finished that, it was time to go.

I picked up Crystal, and we started the drive to BiggerTown. It’s not a bad drive, and is a lot shorter than the drive to CapitalCity. We hit a couple of stores, then it was off to Walmart. I think we bought the store! Lots of stuff, but everything we got, we needed. That’s a good thing! From there, we hit the weed store, and grab some McDonald’s to eat. Then it was back on the road back home.

It was a little late when we got back. We fed and loved on the kittens, showered and fell asleep, quickly.

Now we’re up, and have coffee. And a kitten between us and one happily on my lap. She’ll be a little upset when I get up to get more coffee and to prep the laundry.

Wub wub wub untz untz untz wub

Good morning. It’s dark, and cold out there, and zeppelin was outside hoping to come in first thing. I didn’t let him. But I did give him some pets.

Yesterday was pretty slow at work. But I did get some stuff taken care of, and I have a couple of items to take care of. So for my 4 hour shift, I’ll have a couple of things to do.

After work yesterday we piled into the Hot Mess Express, and followed some friends out to BossLadies cabin. It was bigger than I thought it was. And coming from the complete mess that the showroom is, she actually has taste, and design sense. She has it decorated very nicely.

BossLady also is surprisingly a very good cook. I enjoyed her food. The company was as good as the food she served. Before we left, we all exchanged gifts. I got some prepaid Visa cards for some new clothes, a really nice sign to hang up, and Crystal got a nice candle and some beautiful custom earrings.

But after all that fun, I have work today. That means coffee. Let’s get some and start the day 🙂
