You walked into the party like you were walking on to a yacht

Sunday funday. It’s almost the start of a brand new week. The weekend always goes so fast when you have the Saturday off.

Coffee is brewing.

Yesterday, I drove to SlightlyBiggerTown. I went to a department store to look at v-neck tshirts. They didn’t have any. So that’ll go on the mental list for when, sooner or later, we go to a Walmart. From there I went to the drug store to get some more toothpaste and a new toothbrush. From there, I went for lunch. It’s a rare sight to see a KFC and a Pizza Hut in one building, but here’s one.

I placed my order, and was told it would take about 20 minutes. Like 10 minutes later my lunch came out to the truck. I had to eat in the truck because they are the last place in SlightlyBiggerTown that still has their dining room closed.

From there, I was off to the weed store. I had to replenish my supplies, and I wanted to find something for my mom. I was looking for something high in CBD, and low in THC. Crystal suggested the cookbook that they have on display. I laughed, I don’t think she’d use it enough to justify the $40 price tag. So I got her a couple of chocolates. I’ll be sure to report back if she tried them.

Right before I left the town, I stopped at a hardware store and picked up some awesome shelves for my books (big thanks to everyone that replied to my last post about your bookshelves. Wait, that was sarcasm, no one replied to my last post. Or the post before, etc)

Today is gonna be a somewhat lazy day. I only have a couple chores. I want to read a little and just relax.

Hey book nerds! Before I went to SlightlyBiggerTown, mom suggested I look in the local hardware stores to find some shelves for my books. I had a stack of books, up to my hip on the floor because they wouldn’t fit on my shelves.

As I was waiting for my KFC, I surfed over to the local Home Hardware, and found what I was looking for – plastic shelving. With these shelves, I can hold a 1000 pounds of books, if I wanted to.

And they can be added to. They are prebuilt to be interlocking, which is a great feature, if and when I need to add another. For the first time all my books are in one place.

So please, some audience participation. Please, link me in the comments with pictures of your bookshelves. I really want to see what they look like.

So give them blood blood blood!

Good morning everyone! I slept in today. To 7:30! I know, such craziness! But now the coffee is brewing, and I’m dressed, ready to go to SlightlyBiggerTown to run some errands.

I don’t foresee a book haul today, because the second hand store is closed. That’s ok though, I for right now, have plenty of books. Next time I go, I’ll make sure it’s in a day when they’re open. I couldn’t go on Monday, as it’s like a 70% of snow. So I figured I’d play it safe, and go today when it’s supposed to be sunny and clear.

Oh, I did find my nail clippers, so that’s one thing off the list. But for right now, I’m just gonna wake up, and enjoy my coffee before I have to start the car, and clean it off.

Book haul – welcome to the world!

Hey book nerds! Just wanted to share a quick book haul. But get this, the books are not for me this time! They’re for my baby nephew, E. as an aunt and uncle, we’re trying to get things for the kids that have nothing to do with screen time.

Board games, card games, and LEGO. that’s the kind of aunt and uncle we are.

Well baby E came in to this world a couple months back, and for his first present, we’re getting him books. Books are awesome, and I hope he grows a love of books like Crystal and I.

Well, we made it. It’s Friyay! And it sounds like the wind has died down outside. I’m already thinking a head for tomorrow. I may sleep I a little tomorrow. It’s been a long time since I slept in past 7:30. I wonder what it’s like to you, sleep in until 8.

Today, I think everyone should be able to get into work. We’ll have everyone in the shop today. Yesterday was so nice being the only one in. I’ll never have a snow day, because I live literally 5-6 minutes from the shop. I’ll take it, because money is really nice.

What makes this a really great Friyay? Today is also payday. I’m trying to get in the habit of whatever my balance was before my paycheck is, that’s what I transfer into my savings account. Today was the first time I did that.

The plan for tomorrow is get up, dressed, and head into SlightlyBiggerCity. I lost my nail clippers some where, so I’ll pick up a new set, and also I need more toothpaste, and a toothbrush. Then I have to replenish my weed supply. I was planning on going on Monday, but there’s about a 70% chance of more snow. I’d prefer not to drive in a snow storm. So Saturday it is. The only downfall? The second hand store is closed. People work weird hours in these small towns. You’d think Saturday would be an awesome day to work, and you’d get more people in.

But I digress.

Well, I guess today I had a lot to say this morning. So happy Friday, let’s hope these people come in and do what they have to do and leave. Sweet potato fries!
