Blood stains the roofs and the palm trees of Venice

Good Saturday morning. We’re both up a little early, I forgot to close the curtains in the bedroom last night, so it was a little brighter in there than normal. I just had to close the front door, as it’s actually just a little chilly in the living room.

It’s a bright and sunny day out there. Finally a nice warm, and not humid day out there. Yesterday was like that too. Almost a perfect day – bright, sunny, and just a slight breeze. Not too shabby if you ask me.

So, all that stands between me and the weekend is just a short shift in a couple of hours. Next week I think could go either way – it’s the local high schools grad. But this week, thinking about it, it might be pretty quiet as the town is hosting a minor league baseball tournament this weekend.

All I can hear outside are birds singing. It sure beats the dead silence of the winter. There’s so many different kinds of birds singing out there.

Coffee has been brewed, and is being consumed as I type this. Chaucer is really trying to get into my lap. Sorry dude, not right now. Good morning my friends, welcome to the start of Saturday!

Everyone’s watching, to see what you will do

Hey hey happy Friyay everyone! It’s almost the weekend! All that stands between me, and the weekend – is the shift today, and a short shift tomorrow. Can I make it? Yes I can!

It’s a bright and sunny day out there. Just a couple of clouds in the sky. It looks like it’ll be a nice day out there. We’re awake here with some coffee for each of us, and the news is on for us to watch.

The Americans are talking about the smoke coming from eastern Canada. All the wildfires are exporting all the smoke. There hasn’t been any news about all the fires the next province over. Maybe they put all those fires out. Who knows.

Tonight is date night, and high me last night before bed, was trying to figure out what I was going to have for dinner last night. High me wants chicken wings. Sober me probably just wants a clubhouse. Which will win? I have no idea.

Ok, I need a refill. Let’s get Friday started everyone!

Look straight ahead, there’s nothing but blue skies

Awake, and it’s a lot cooler out there. We have competing weather apps this morning. Mine says, the high will be 78, Crystal’s says it’ll be 83 today. Right now though, it’s cool, and Pippin got her table ride that she’s been wanting for a few days.

It’s Thursday, and it’s getting closer to the end of the week. Hopefully the heat that broke this morning, will stay a little cooler. Not for me, mind you, but for the kitties. Pippin was playing last night and this morning. It’s nice to see her playing. I’m assuming Chaucer is in the back window.

I slept like the dead last night. It was so nice to get into bed when it was a lot cooler. Both Pippin and Chaucer hopped up. Chaucer apparently was licking my head, where as Pippin just wanted some snuggles this morning.

The coffee tastes very good this morning. Oh, and most of the fans have either been turned off or turned down. We’ll see how long that this lasts. I’m sure the office will still be stifling.

Ok, I need some more coffee. Happy Thursday, yo.

We just want to dance here, someone stole the stage

Good morning everyone. It’s Wednesday, and it’s still warm out there. It’s supposed to be just as warm today, as yesterday. For the last week, we’ve actually been warmer than Pensacola. That’s crazy!

I feel a heck of a lot better than this time yesterday. Just a little groggy. Not like yesterday. I think I had a touch of heat stroke yesterday. I feel worlds better.

Needless to say, I didn’t do a whole lot of anything yesterday, after I called out. We watched the news for a couple of hours. Then toaster came out for its actual first run. He did pretty good. Worked for about an hour, and then went back to his house.

After Toaster, we took turns playing TotK. After that it was just about time for bed, so we watched some TV, and then when it was time, we went to bed. I started out on top the covers. It’s kinda comfortable in here currently.

Back to work today. It’s gonna be warm in the office. Hopefully not too warm. Happy Wednesday everyone!

I’m awake. I’m not feeling all that great. I didn’t sleep all that great last night. It was way too hot. I think I was just in a light sleep all night.

The heat is supposed to last until Friday. That’s a long way away. I feel terrible, but I feel worse for the kitties. It’s a scorcher out there and it’s only 7ish.

Yesterday was a good but long ass day. We left the Flat at 8, and didn’t get home until have 6. Thankfully we had eaten dinner so I could just drop on to the couch and do absolutely nothing.

I have to finish getting dressed, and start the day. Happy Tuesday. I hope y’all are safe.
