You love me and I don’t know why, I only call you once a week

Well, here we are – another day that ends in y. We were both woken up early this morning. The big guy, Chaucer, decided that 3am was a great time to get sick, waking up Crystal, and making me open my eyes.

After that fun happened, I think we both fell back into a restless sleep. I’m very very stuffed up, and it hurts my head. Crystal was having nightmares, and I was just having strange dreams. I have been dreaming, but now I never remember them in the morning. I just know that these dreams were just strange.

So yeah it hasn’t been the greatest of mornings here. I at least get to stay with her for a few hours, as I don’t have to leave the Flat until 1pm. Yep, I’m working a closing shift tonight. That’s ok, we can have date night tomorrow night. Hopefully the evening will go quickly at work.

So now we’re just awake, watching the morning news. After some coffee, and waking up, I’ll be hoping in the shower, and officially starting the day.

It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark

Ok, I gotta make this one quick, I have to pack a lunch today. Yesterday was somewhat easy- all I had to do was pack some leftovers the night before. Well, I ate those, so I have to build from scratch today.

Also today, it’s Friyay! It’s hard to tell by my bleary eyed look right now, but I’m hella excited about this development. I just don’t have the energy to show it yet!

Last night, when my head hit the pillow, I was all the way out. I fell asleep with Pippin snuggled up to my neck/shoulder area. I was out. I didn’t feel Crystal come to bed, but that’s pretty normal. I didn’t roll over to get more comfortable, I was out until my alarm went off.

I’m impressed with myself.

Work was pretty slow yesterday. It’s the week in between holidays. It’s expected. But we made it through, and we’re slowly pushing to the weekend. Just the early shift today, and then New Year’s Eve, and boom! It’s the new year already.

2024.

Scary.

Oh god, I need more coffee. Happy Friyay all. Let’s get the day started.

There’s a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well

Good morning my friends. It’s Friday! We’ve made it to the weekend. I have tomorrow off, but have to work Sunday. That’s ok, I’m the low man on the totem pole. I understand, and it’s ok.

So we’re sitting here last night watching tv. I think it was Antiques Roadshow, and I get a text. Weird. I look over and it’s old BossLady. She says she has something for me. I told her I was working until 4, and could stop by on the way home. I wonder what she has for me. Crystal seems to think that she might have a Christmas present for me. I have no idea.

So yeah I don’t have to be in until 8, so I have some coffee and I’m slowly waking up. The alarm was set for 6:30, but my mind woke me up at 5 saying that the alarm wasn’t set properly. Spoiler alert; it totally was, and went off without a hitch at 6:30.

So I’m gonna cut this short, I have to get ready for work, and whatever happens at OldWork. We’ll see. But I also think that tonight could possibly be a date night. So that’s a good thing, and totes exciting

It’s so exciting, that it may have wandered into fetch territory. Happy Friyay all!

Eight maids a milking

Welp, it snowed in the night, just as forecasted. It’s still snowing out there. After a couple of hours of rain last night, it did what it was supposed to – turn to snow. We still have a couple of hours of snow to fall. It does look peaceful out there though.

Ugh, snow. Amirite?

Work last night was killer. After a couple of small rushes, it died out. From 8 to 9, I think we had one person come in. So, we finished doing what we’re supposed to have done, and it’s about 5 minutes after the lights went out, and the door was locked. A customer pulls up and just parks. Not making an effort to come in or anything. So we just ignore and finish what we were doing.

All three of us leave at the same time. That’s when she finally gets out of her vehicle. “Are you guys still open?” We kind of look back at the store – all the lights out, and the open sign not on.

“Sorry, we’re closed.” We say as we walk to our vehicles.

And that was the day. Pretty exciting, huh? Since I have to close tonight, we’re moving our date night to tomorrow night, after groceries.

But I’ll be having to shovel later, but for right now it’s coffee time. And Chaucer is already snuggled between us. Happy Friday everyone!

Well, I’m a gonna raise a fuss, I’m gonna raise a holler

Ugh, it’s dark out. I think it’ll be like this for the next 4ish months. Winter is coming. Nah son, winter is here. I think when we go out later on this morning, I’ll be wearing my new jacket. Exciting, huh?

I was up a little early – I couldn’t breathe. I’m just stuffed up majorly this morning. I think after today, it starts to warm up a little bit. It’s currently , with the wind, it’s -6° out there. That’s in freedom units, so you can tell that it’s wicked cold out there.

We didn’t do too much yesterday. I started the morning off with watching The Mighty Nein one shot. After that was over, Crystal fired up good ol Skyrim, and streamed for the afternoon. It was pretty fun.

For dinner, I splurged on some pizza from the restaurant up the street. We’ve had pizza from there before, and it’s pretty good. We’ve never ordered on “pizza day”, and yesterday was pizza day, and we got two free appetizers. Fried mushrooms for m’lady, and jalapeño poppers for me. Very yum. We ate our fill, and then I got a text from BossLady asking if I could give Crystal’s number so she could ask a couple of questions.

After that phone conversation, Crystal fixed a couple of things on the website, and we carried on with the evening. I couldn’t even tell you what we did after dinner. I know we watched an episode of Supernatural, then I remember having hot cocoa, and watching TikTok’s. So that was totes fun!

Today we actually have to become humans and leave the house. My mom has a dentist appointment, and we need to do a couple of things, so instead of my dad taking time off work, we’re already off, so I said we’d take her. Everyone wins.

So, time to mainline some coffee, and focus the ol eyes. Happy Friyay everyone! Happy Black Friday for those that celebrate that as well!
