You’ve seen the difference and it’s getting better all the time

Well hello there. How’re you? Me? I’m ok. I think I’ve been up since about 6. Just dozing after that. Then Pippin came up and wanted to play. Chaucer was doing his best Batman impersonation by sitting on the dresser – staring at me.

Anyways, it’s the end of the week. It’s Friyay! The only thing standing I between me and the weekend is today. It should be a somewhat relaxing and easier day. I’ll be by myself.

But I have a job to do. We’re doing inventory so I’m doing all the backend stuff. Yay! Haha

It seems pretty warmish out there this morning. Just dark, and a lot of fog. This weekend, it should be a lot warmer, so I’ll be demanding that Crystal go outside, and poi for at least 30 minutes.

She’ll have fun!

Or else… 🤣

Nothing is really planned for the weekend. It’s date night tonight. Mmm awesome burger! We’ve finished what series we had for Law & Order. We’ve hit season 10 of Supernatural. We have one episode left of The Peripheral, and we’re making headway on a few more series as well.

We’re TV nerds.

Take out the papers and the trash

Hey, you know what? It’s Friyay! Finally, it’s the end of the week. We’ve made it. All I have to do is make it through my shift today, and then I don’t have to work for the rest of the year. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me.

We started inventory at the store yesterday. BossLady was actually out on the floor working with NewNewGirl. I was the one in the back, double checking prices and making sure the prices out on the sales floor are the same as on the website. I think they have all the big stuff counted.

I slept ok. I think I was up at the normal time. I felt Pippin jump up and get comfy, but I can’t put a time on when she jumped up. I didn’t look at the clock this morning.

Tonight is date night. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve gone to our usual restaurant, so that’s going to be fun. It’s much more relaxed than the dour, silent restaurant that we’ve gone to in the past couple of weeks.

We don’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve. I did ask Crystal if we could have a nap Saturday afternoon, so we could make it to midnight. So we’re going try to do that. Maybe we’ll find a good movie to watch or something to keep us entertained.

But right now, just enjoying some coffee, and happy that it’s Friyay. What’re your plans?

Life is demanding without understanding

Good morning. Today we wake up with the knowledge that it’s almost the weekend! Yes that’s correct, we’re only one shift away from a few days off! Me, I can’t wait! it’s been a along week, but it’s moved surprisingly fast.

Not fast enough!

Yesterday morning, my mom texted. My gramma has a room at the old folks home. Next Tuesday. I’ve worked it out with BossLady, and I’ll be making a delivery on Tuesday, and if there’s nothing pressing at work, I’ll have the rest of the day off, which I’ll be using to help my mom move gramma. If she needs us, we’ll be available.

I just can’t wait for the day to be over, as tonight is date night. Just me and Crystal, and two huge mounds of fries. And a burger, which is pretty good as well. It’s something that we look forward to each week.

I slept through the night. I have to fix the bed a little. It felt like the weighted blanket was all up by our shoulders and heads. Not good. It’ll be fixed by the time we head off to bed tonight.

Let’s get the day started’

Hit top speed, but I’m still moving much too slow

Almost. To. The. Weekend. We’re so close my friends. It’s Friyay, and I’m working all by myself today! It’ll be a nice day. I only have a couple of things that need to be taken care of today.

The coffee is ready, and I’m sipping on it right now. It snowed around 2, maybe 3 inches last night. Really just a dusting in the grand scheme of things. I shovelled the little deck outside. I’ll do the rest of the shovelling either at lunch or after work.

It’s been a long week at work. Two design nights in a row. They both went off very well. There’s one more that may or may not happen. Depends on BossLady and her mood. So you can’t rule out Wednesday for another one.

But I wouldn’t hold my breath.

A-just a-choogling on down to New Orleans

Good morning everyone, finally it’s Friyay! I had a pretty good sleep. It wasn’t too bad. I was up a little early, and then light sleeps until the alarm went off. I don’t think I was up too early, but it felt like an hour until the alarm went off.

I’m glad the week is almost over. It’s been a terribly long week. BossLady came back with a vengeance. She’s trying to stuff two to three weeks of work into one week. Yesterday was the first and only day this week that all three of us were in the store.

It was 100% work all day. From everyone. There wasn’t a lot of conversation it was just head down and work. Today, it’s just me and BossLady. We’ll be heading over to the shit-show that is the warehouse. That should be fun.

But right now, it’s coffee and contemplation. And a chance to get the ol eyes to focus again.
