The clouds and the rain have broken, at least for today. It’s sunny and the big yellow globe in the sky is making everything nice and warm.

Good morning party people, welcome to Sunday y’all! Yesterday was a pretty ok day. Work was well, very slow. BossLady called and got me to do a couple of tasks, which took all of 3 minutes.

In the call, she also said that she was going to be giving me a raise! That’s right, Shawshank is getting more green in his pocket! That’s very awesome, and I thanked her a lot for the raise.

From there, I headed off to SlightlyBiggerTown for some groceries and other fun stuff. I was thinking on the drive there what I wanted to eat, as I was starving. I ended up going to KFC and just getting a chicken bacon burger with cheese.

I did my business in town and drove back to TinyTown. I put everything away and was in no way hungry for dinner as I had eaten just an hour and a half before. But that’s ok I thought. I just had a snack before hoping in the shower.

Today, is chore day. Soon I’ll be getting my clothes together to start the laundry. I know how to have fun don’t I?!

Knocking me out with those American thighs

Good morning everyone! It’s a bright and sunny morning here in TinyTown. So far. We’re expecting some more rain this afternoon. The hens and chicks are out on the deck this morning. I may or may not bring them in when it starts to rain. On one had, they’re due for some water, on the other, I don’t know how long it’ll rain today.

Crystal will know what to do.

I have a decision in front of me. On the 18th, the library is doing a meet and greet with the animal rescue here in town for an adoption day for their cats and kittens. Do I want a kitty? Yes I do. Am I ready for the responsibility of looking after another life? That’s the sticking point.

That’s what makes me a little nervous. And even thinking about it gives me a little anxiety. I have some time, so I’ll keep it in the back of my mind. I have some thinking to do.

Today is chore day! Laundry, and general cleaning will be happening all up in here today. Not too much to clean around here. Some dusting and pretty much just tidying up.

But for right now, just some coffee, and Dateline on the NBC News Now on YouTube. Happy Sunday y’all!

Hello! Good morning my friends. It’s a bright and sunny day here, but just a little windy. I’ll take it. The snow is melting, and it looks to be a nice day out there.

No brunch today, however. I’m out of all the components to make it today. I’ll Ruth have the left over curry (or I’ll take it to my mom as she likes it, and would never cook it for the rest of the family), or I’ll just make some Kraft Dinner. We’ll figure that out closer to the time for brunch/lunch.

Just chores up in here today. I think I’ll probably sweep and mop the floors before Toaster comes out to vacuum.

But first coffee, and the dulcet tones of Keith Morrison on Dateline, on the NBC News Now YouTube page. Yay for true crime!

THE POWER CAME BACK!

Yep, I was over at Shady Acres, we had just been told that the town was going to shut the water off so I was filling buckets so we’d be able to flush the toilets.

Thankfully that didn’t happen, because the power came back on around 4:30. The heat came back on, and I went about the house grabbing electronics and plugged them all in.

So when I got back to The Flat, I turned everything back on, and reset the alarm clock, and the stove clock.

So since we “lost” a day because of no power, today will be chore day, with the typical included brunch!

But first, coffee!

Good morning all you glorious motherfuckers! It’s Sunday, and it’s actually sunny, and somewhat warm outside. All the rugs are out there and I even washed the garbage can.

The lone load of laundry has just finished being washed. And I should get all up in there to put it in the dryer.

According to my weather app, Tuesday, it’s supposed to get freakin crazy here. Lots of snow. Snow. It’s April. Besides, all the snow just melted on the lawn.

But I’ll believe that when it’s actually happening.

And all this snow, if it happens will be falling probably days before my aunt and uncle come to visit. Which is also the reason for the “deep” clean. Just trying to make the place look good before people will be coming to visit.

The bacon is defrosting, and in a couple of hours I’ll be cooking brunch for myself. I likes me some bacon. Eggs aren’t too bad either.

I took a little break from Critical Role. Not out of boredom or anything like that. Just want a little different thing to watch. So I fired up Tubi, and finished Road House, then for the fun of it, I watched Blade. I ended up finishing the night with Hackers.

Crystal has been watching Supernatural. She said if I can make it past the first 4 or 5 episodes, it gets better. So that’s what’s on right now. They’re currently fight a demon on an airplane.
