It was a teenage wedding and the old folks wished them well

I slept for just about the whole night! I only got up once in the night, and quickly fell back to sleep. Let’s just say that the alarm woke us up, and not a playful kitten wanting attention and food.

It was glorious.

Not too much on deck today. I have to finish the chores that I didn’t do yesterday. All I have to do is the bathroom. I didn’t want to do it yesterday.

Then probably later this morning, mom and I will be heading to the local greenhouse. Yesterday, I prepped the pot for new succulents, and BossLady got me a gift certificate for there, so that’ll lighten the load for the purchase.

But first, coffee.

So far it is a sunny day, but the weather app says it’s supposed to cloud over today. I hope it doesn’t. We’ve had more subpar days than nice warm days.

So it goes.

But for now, I have a lap warmer laying on top of me, and I have a nice steaming cup of coffee. Happy Monday everyone!

Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted a book haul, but here it is. It was my birthday a couple of days ago, and Crystal got me a book. She’s really really REALLY good at choosing strange, weird, and wonderful books for me. She’s been responsible for all my amazing books.

She didn’t fail this time either! I’m proud to present –

According to a random blog post about this book there’s 15,511,210,043,330,985,984,000,000 different ways to read this 60s masterpiece. I don’t know if that’s true, or if that blogger is just blowing smoke up my ass.

I’m very excited to read this bad boy. Should I read it how it was presented to me when I opened the front cover, or should I shuffle it more and dice in that way?

Like I said in my previous post, I went to a second hand store, and found a book that completes my movie cover collection of the Twilight Saga! Yay for completionism!

Happy Sunday, mein friends! It’s a beautiful day outside, even if it’s just a little breezy out. Looks like it’ll be a nice day here in TinyTown. The town hasn’t woken up yet, as I hear no lawn mowers yet. Sundays here are quiet. Wait, I’m lying. Most days are quiet here but, Sundays even more so.

That’s not a bad thing.

Yesterday, it was a mom son day. We drove into another province, and hit up a second hand store that usually isn’t open on Saturdays, but it was a town wide yard sale, so they opened for that.

after the second hand store we went for lunch, and I enjoyed a “spicy” chicken sandwich. It was good, don’t get me wrong. I really liked it. I wouldn’t have called it spicy, but the flavour was really good.

After that, we went grocery shopping in a swanky Co-op, and I found some foam cat toys that the little monster likes. I bought the two packs that they had, and was very happy that I found them. Pippin will be happy when I let her play with them.

Today is a lazy day. I just have my usual chores to do. I’ll start them in an hour or so. I have to have coffee first though.

Good morning party people! It’s SATURYAY! Let’s get out and have a great day. On Thursday, my gramma went into the old folks home for two weeks of respite, and I think my mom has a little case of cabin fever, so we’re going to have a mother son day. We’re going to drive to a town that I’ve never been to.

And there, I have lunch, and do some grocery shopping, because I’m out of just about everything. Some times the 15th and the 30th some with 3 week a in between them. This is one of those times, so I was stretched just a little. It’s all good in the hood though.

It’s a beautiful day out, and should continue on for the rest of the weekend as well. Finally, it seems like the summer achievement has been earned. It’s about time.

Toaster will be running today so I should probably start to prep for that – take the mats outside. I’ll do that shortly.

Good morning everyone! It’s Friyay! Pippin and I finally had a good sleep. She pretty much came to bed pretty quickly last night and fell right asleep. I got up at one point to go to the bathroom, and she got up too. But when I got back to bed, I just put a blanket over her and went back to sleep. She surprisingly curled up and did the same.

But we’re up, and I have coffee and a lap kitty. I think that she had a solid sleep, maybe for the first time since coming to me.

That’s a good thing for sure.

Ok, time to consume coffee, and wake up. Let’s all have a great Friyay!
