Good morning party people! It’s a bright, sunny and hot hot hot morning already. All the blinds are down, and Pippin is annoyed that she can’t look out the back door. Reason – it’s closed to try and keep the heat at bay. I told her I’ll open it in a couple of hours.

We’re expecting a high in the low 90s today. Yep it’s hot for here, but again this is not an excuse to have an AC. There’s no point in them here. It’s literally hot here for like 2 weeks a year. Don’t be like my neighbour that’s one house down. Running her window AC, and I haven’t seen her car since Thursday.

So with all the heat, I’m not going to do my chores until tomorrow. I don’t feel like running the washer and dryer in this weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler. I’ll do it all tomorrow.

Yesterday, when I went to SlightlyBiggerTown, I was cut off due to a parade driving towards me down Main Street. I quickly turned off and came back to watch the parade. It was fun!

From there I want to a couple of stores and bought a suction cup bird feeder for the kitten, and then went for lunch, then off to do my drug deal. Ahh legal weed. Yay Canada! Then it was a quick trip to the grocery store where they didn’t have wings. That made me a little sad. After that back to the Flat to unpack everything.

All in all a good Saturday if you ask me!

Yep, it’s a hot one out there. And for some stupid reason, the ice cream place here is closed on Saturday’s. It boggles the mind.

Today I went to SlightlyBiggerTown, to do some grocery shopping, and of course to do a teensy tiny drug deal.

Since SlightlyBiggerTown is at least 30 minutes away, I can’t buy ice cream. I might go up to the gas station to see if they have power. But they’re probably closed by now.

So, I’ll sweat, and drink mostly cold water.

BOOM SHAKA LAKA!

A huge-ass storm came through these parts last night/early this morning. I think it started around midnight. It started with the wind – that’s what woke me up. Blind on blind action. After I opened the blinds a little to let the wind through, that’s when the Metallica concert started.

CRASH BOOM!

It sounded like the storm was right over The Flat. It was so freaking loud, and scared the crap out of me. Pippin, on the other hand was on the cat tree watching the show. Not scared at all. This kitten doesn’t scare easy.

So with it being so loud, I closed the bedroom window in hopes that it would be a little quieter so I could get back to sleep. It did help a little, and just as I was about to fall asleep after the storm had passed, i could hear Pippin out in the living room, playing with her carrot!

So this morning, I roll over mostly awake. The alarm clock said 5:55. That’s awesome, i have a lot more time to sleep. Not so. I’m mostly wide awake, i go out to pee and feed the cat, i just out of curiosity, look at my phone. There’s a good morning greeting from Crystal, and it’s 7:35. There must have been just about enough of a brownout to ONLY affect the clock radio. The stove clock was fine. Haha!

So now I’m an hour behind where I should be, but I have coffee, and I should probably get dressed. Today is grocery shopping day! I’m gonna finish my coffee first though!

It’s Friyay motherfuckers! The weekend is in sight! Can you smell it? I totally can, and it’s not Pippin that farted, that smell is the weekend!

Speaking of Pippin, she let me sleep all the way to my alarm. She didn’t even hear the alarm because she was out in the kitchen I think looking out the window.

We’re under heat watches for the next 2 or 3 days here. That means it’s gonna be warm. It’s already bright and sunny out there. My kitchen blinds are closed in hopes that some of the heat can be disapated. We’ll see when I get back at lunch to open the kitchen up and close the blinds in the living room.

But right now, I have coffee.

It’s a grave mistake and I’m wide awake

Good morning my friends. Pippin was excited for the morning I guess. She tried to get me out of bed for about 45 minutes. She did snuggle in for a little while, before she started up again.

It’s a gray day out so far. There were thunder storms for most of the night. I’m still deciding on whether or not I should wear pants today. Right now, I’m in shorts. But that could change.

It’ll be like a mini vacation – BossLady is gone for a couple of weeks. First a vacation with her family, then jetting off to a buying show down in the states. Yay! Here’s to hoping she doesn’t buy anything. We’re full up at the inn.

Right now, mother effing coffee. Amirite?
