I simply must go baby, it’s cold outside

So I wake up at 3am. I think to myself if I can sleep until 4:15, I’ll get up and get ready for work. The next thing I know the alarm is going off. For the first time in months, the alarm has woken me up.

It’s cold outside.

And very windy.

BossLady changed the schedule for today. Anticipating the bad weather, and said she’d probably be in after the sun rose. she changed me from 8-4 to 5:30-1:30. So that’s the reason why I was up so early. But now I’m done for the day, and have a day and a half off.

Yesterday was a nice day of sloth. I play a little bit of Persona 5 Royal, and then popped over to the post office to pick up my package. Crystal started to play Persona, so I watched her beat the game. And I finally got to watch the whole ending. It’s a good ending, but as far as I’ve read, not the true ending. I’m working towards that ending now.

I don’t plan on doing too much for the rest of the day. Maybe we’ll go to SlightlyBiggerTown tomorrow, or maybe after work Saturday afternoon. The weather and the roads will dictate that.

Good morning my snowy friends. Yeppers, it’s snowing out there, just like they said it would be. It looks like we’re going to get a little less that forecasted, and shortly, it’ll stop for a few hours. Then it’ll start up again.

Last night shift was difficult. I spent a good 2.5 – 3 hours outside on a long rush of people. I was cold. But yes, I’m dressed correctly for being outside for 5-10 minutes at a time, not 3 hours. So it was a long cold evening. We were both very happy when it was time to finally close. The morning shift managed to handle 67 customers from 6-1:15. From 1:15 to 9pm we handled over 150 customers. There were two of us, and the morning shift had 3 people. So yeah, there’s a bit of a balance issue.

Meh.

But today I have a day off. That’s nice, because that’s to the snow and the expected winds tomorrow, I’m opening the store instead of being the mid shift guy. So I’ll be getting up sometime in the night to open the store. Woot woot.

Good times. In other news, it doesn’t look that bad out there so if my package comes in today, I may go and pick it up. We’ll see.

And Phil the handy man came over and shut all the water off in The Flat because, at 8:30 in the evening. Pretty awesome, huh?

Good times.

The handyman is back this morning and just turned the water on for us to be able to flush the toilet. Hopefully, I’ll be able to take a shower this morning. But I’m not too worried about it.

Thankfully, I made coffee as I was making lunch, so we have go-go juice this morning.

Good morning y’all. We’re back into a cold snap again. It just looks frigid out there. I have a toque on.

Welp, it’s Monday again. And that means back to work. And that’s ok. I’m sure I get on Crystal’s nerves after a while. but for right now, the coffee is warm, and so is the furnace.

I slept like the dead last night into this morning. I felt that Crystal took my pillow so I tried to take it back. She said it was her pillow, but I had my mask on, so I don’t know if that was true. But I stopped pulling on the pillow when she said it was her pillow.

We didn’t watch the Grammys, but followed it just a little bit before bed. Congrats on the wins to the awesome people. It’s almost like watching the Superb Owl. Go sports ball!

I’m awake. Chaucer woke me up everytime he screamed. And he screamed a lot last night, and this morning. He’s currently leaning on Crystal purring away. I made Pippin another pipe cleaner toy, and she’s pouting because I’m not throwing it for her. She doesn’t understand to drop it closer to the couch.

Yesterday was utter and total sloth. Crystal wasn’t feeling too well, so I fired up Persona 5 Royal and played that for most of the day while. Crystal slept beside me on the couch. Eventually, she woke up feeling better than when she went to sleep. She said she wanted dinner, and the dinner that I planned. So I fired up the oven and we ate like royalty.

‘Twas good, m’lady.

Today, she was awake, but let me sleep in a little. She’s so good like that, she’s been up for at least 3 hours before I even start to think about getting up, and she lets me sleep. She’s truly the best in the world.

Nothing much happening today. I’ll start laundry after this, more coffee, chores, etc. then we’ll be off to Shady Acres for dinner. Then of course, back to work tomorrow.

Oh yeah, trade war. Good times.
