You’re always asking what it’s all about but don’t listen to my replies

Happy 4th of July everyone!

It wasn’t a great sleep last night. I was too warm, I couldn’t get comfortable. It was just a really light sleep. I got up many times in the night. It just wasn’t a good night. Podrick didn’t help too much either. He was chasing his tail on top of me this morning.

It was a mixed bag of weather here last night. About 5 or 6 thunderstorm warnings, lots of thunder, and a little bit of rain. Then the tornado warnings started. I think we got 3 or 4 warnings over the course of a couple of hours.

Spoiler alert: there were no tornados.

But there was no major issues at work, except pump one went out last night. No matter what I tried we couldn’t get it back online. So I chalked it up for: that’s a future BossLady problem, and cordoned it off, and went about the evening.

One last shift, then a day off. I’m working with GenAlpha tonight. He’s been training on days, so I won’t just be a cashier tonight. He can hop on the register at anytime. W00t!

Sometimes you tell the day by the bottle that you drink

The tiny orange menace let me sleep again. He’s so good in the morning lately. I guess he was snuggled in between us. I was waking up after Crystal nudged me, and he started to purr. I’m sure now that his tummy is full, he’s bothering Pippin, even though I don’t hear anything. But, if I get up, I’ll disturb them if they are sitting quietly together.

It’s been warm the last couple of days. Like late July warm. June was a bust weather-wise, but Canada Day was wickedly nice and hot. Same with yesterday. I think though, today, it’s gonna be a little cooler out there. I just checked the weather app, and nope, it’s supposed to be a little warmer today. High of 86° for today, but mostly overcast.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. A couple of nice rushes, but we managed to get through them. I wonder what’s in store for the day today. Crystal got a new game for the Switch yesterday, and was playing it last night when I got home. It’s called NieR: Automata. I’ll probably try it Saturday when I’m off, as she told me I need at least an hour and a half for the first section.

But right now, I need some coffee to help shake these cobwebs out of my head. I had an allergy attack last night, because I forgot my allergy meds. I won’t be making that mistake today, that’s for sure.

I knew I’d miss her, so I had to keep her she’s buried right in my backyard

The cotton dome has to be rebuilt. There’s two main weaknesses: the feet, and the head. I’ll have to go back to the drawing board to make the upgrade count against a kitten. But when I woke up, Podrick was snuggled against my feet. I could feel a little body down there, and I did my best not to move.

Good morning everyone, I hope y’all had a good sleep last night. The heat from yesterday slowly disappeared in the night, and sleeping just under the cotton blanket was a little chilly this morning. Crystal had the right idea, sleeping in underwear and a top. If the heat is like this tonight, I might have to do the same.

But we’re up now, and watching the verdict come in for Puff Daddy. That little bitch is probably going to get off very easy. Not guilty on the RICO charges. Like Crystal says, these people don’t understand RICO charges if an Italian or Irish guy isn’t sitting in front of them.

Fuckers.

Back to work for the rest of the week. It was a really nice day off yesterday, but let’s end this week. Three days, and then I work Sunday. So it should be a nice, hopefully quick couple of days.

But first, coffee. Happy Wednesday y’all!

Lockup Library: Persona 5: The Phantom X

It’s been a pretty good, relaxing Canada Day. We didn’t do much more than try to wrangle Podrick from being a complete ass to Pippin. But after he fell asleep passed out, I figured it was time to try Persona 5: The Phantom X. Because if it’s like Persona 5, you just can’t stop when you want and log out. No, you can leave when the game tells you that you can.

I’m really enjoying it. There’s some call backs to persona 5, but it stands entirely on its own. Yeah, it’s a gacha game, but from what I’ve read, you don’t need to actually pay to play. We’ll find out. The highest price I’ve seen for something in game, was $24.49. But I just went to look again, and it’s higher than that.

But, so far so good. I’m enjoying myself!

Bonne fete du Canada!*

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright sunny, and from what I hear, gonna be very warm today. Finally, some warmth. I still bring my hoodie to work, and wear it at the end of the night.

Coffee has been brewed, and is currently being consumed. Podrick is trying to start something with Pippin, who just wants to enjoy the sun at the back door. He’s going back and forth from terrorizing us, to eating, to terrorizing Pippin. But he’s been a really good boy, letting me sleep in again this morning.

We don’t really have anything planned today, other than chicken burgers this afternoon. So the whole day is open to us to do whatever we want. Maybe the town will set off fireworks. I haven’t heard anything, but I’m sure someone has fireworks.

Instead of putting on NBC News, I put on the national coverage of Canada Day. They were just in Newfoundland, and it looks like they’re having so much fun.
