My father yells, “What you gonna do with your life?”

Back to work this afternoon. But just tomorrow, then I’ll have the next two days off. Schedules are weird.

It’s been a pretty nice weekend. We didn’t do a whole lot of anything. My father and I worked on getting the pellet stove. Now, all we have to do is put it all back together, which we’ll do on Tuesday morning, when I’m off again. Then, it should be ready to be loaded with pellets, and be turned on.

Other than that, we watched Yellowstone. I’ve seen I think up to season 4, and Crystal has watch up to like episode 4 or 6 of season one. We just hit season two last night. Then after, as a brain cleaner, we watched some Vine compilations.

Podrick was pretty good this morning. After I kicked him off the night table, I closed the door and pressed a weight against the door, so it wouldn’t rattle, and I slept for another half hour or so. Now we’re on the couch, and Podrick is working out some excess energy. He has so much energy!

More coffee, pls.

And the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad

Here we are. Podrick was mostly good this morning. A somewhat loud noise pulled me out of sleep, and I come out to the living room. Stuff is pulled out of the bookcase, so I picked up the stuff, and threw some kibble into a bowl and went back to bed, closing the door. I dozed for another hour, and then got out of bed.

Yesterday was so nice and relaxing. I got up and filled up the bird feeder, and suctioned it to the front window. Hopefully, some birds, and maybe even some deer will come and feed from it, so the kitties are entertained.

We did do a whole lot of anything yesterday. I watched the first couple of episodes of 1883 – since when Crystal watched, I came in half way through episode 5. I think we finished watching either episode 5 or 6. It’s such a good show. We watched other shows after. Nothing special, just relaxing. I did the laundry, and I’ll do the rest of the chores this morning, before we head over to Shady Acres. I’ll have chores to do there too.

I slept ok last night. It’s still anxiety inducing because my mind tries to figure out what he’s getting into. Same in the morning, because I can hear him getting into things. I have a blue tooth headset like Crystal’s that I’m going to try. Hopefully any noise I have coming through the speakers, will drown out his noise, and not cause my anxiety to spike.

It’s still cold out there. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be cold for the next 8 months, so I better started getting used to it. It’s no longer sunny. It just looks crisp out there, and not in a beautiful spring day. Think; frozen wasteland. But soon once actual snow falls, it’ll be pretty outside for a while.

On a warm summer’s evening on a train bound for nowhere

Here I am. Tired and groggy. Podrick was awake a little early this morning, and wanted to get into trouble. For the first time in at least a couple of days, I had to lock him out of the bedroom. I tried to not do that, but after the second time fucking rounding the nightstand. I close the door.

From 5-7:20 when I got out of bed, slept came but at a cost. It was a light sleep where any noise work me up. I couldn’t breathe at all through my nose. So I had to sleep a certain way. Then I couldn’t get comfortable. Then it was too hot. The first part of my sleep – 11 to maybe 4:30ish was dead, then my face plugged up and yep, that’s when slowly moved into either being mostly awake or a light ass sleep.

I am not leaving the house today.

It’s cold out, first cold snap of the winter.

15°. Feels like 6°.

Double champs! Oh, Canada!

Deep down in the holler, pick the tallest pine dig it real deep where the roots touch mine

Good chilly morning. Podrick was a good boy this morning, and to me, felt like he was sucking crystals fingers mere inches from my ear. It was loud.

I rolled out of bed, and closed the door behind me. I opened the curtains and got the kittens breakfast ready. I put a bowl down for Podrick, and carried a plate of breakfast and put Pippin on the bed, and put her plate on the bed in front of her and slipped back out, closing the door behind me.

I got dressed, and opened the curtains, and did the usual morning stuff, letting Pippin chow down. Once she was finished, I opened the door and gave Podrick what she didn’t finish.

One more shift. One more shift, and I have two days off. I know Sunday, I’ll be over at Shady Acres to finish getting the pellet stove cleaned and prepped. I have to change the door seal, I think I have to clean it (yay), and then we should be able to fill it, and light it, and get some more heat in my parents house.

So, I’ll probably end up doing laundry some time tomorrow. It’s supposed to be even colder tomorrow, so we don’t plan on leaving the house. Currently it’s 22°, but feels like 13°. That’s pretty nasty.

Winter is coming.

Badder than old King Kong meaner than a junkyard dog

Podrick was really trying this morning. He was really trying so hard to be good. Then he was trying to get up on the nightstand. That’s when he had to go. By then, I was already awake. Mornings are a loud time around here. So I checked the clock and figured it was time to greet the day.

I did the morning routine, and turned the coffee on, and fed Podrick in the kitchen and hand delivered Pippin’s breakfast for her in the bedroom. Both kittens were fed and Pippin is currently on my lap, silently watching Podrick do Podrick things.

I slept ok last night. Some nights it doesn’t feel too restful. Yesterday I felt very rested. Today, not so much. I mean, I slept. I feel ok, just tired. Until Podrick grows up a little more, I don’t think we’ll have quiet, lazy mornings in bed. That’s ok. He’s still a baby – a 15 year old baby. He looks like a meatball.

Back to work this afternoon. Today’s shift, and tomorrows, and well both be on some days off over the weekend. It’ll be filled with laziness, chores, and trying to do as little as possible. And of course Shady Acres. I’ll be finishing the stove chores that we started a couple of weeks ago.
