So I want to be a paperback writer Shawshank, October 4, 2020 I stare at my books a lot. I look for more books that I want to read. Hopefully I can find some in the two or three second hand stores that I regularly go into. TinyTown and the surrounding areas, I figure, aren’t really into reading. The closest book store is 2.5 hours away. My mom is a reader – Nora Roberts, and her pen names. From what I can find, there is a book club through the library. But I can’t find out how to join it, or have i been able to find a list of books the club has read. Online book clubs would be where I’d go next. But then it comes down to finding the books. That could be the hard part. If I were to post a list, updated every time I got a book, would any of my readers like to do a Void if Removed Book Club? Pick a book in my collection, and then discuss it? It could be fun. At least I think it could be. What do y’all think? Comment below, yay, or nay. Lockup Library WWW Wednesday December 16, 2020December 16, 2020 This is a simple one to do. But I like it. It’s just a wicked quick blurb and window into what’s going on here at the Lockup Library. What are you currently reading? I’m actually reading two books; Brave New World, and The Girl on The Train. I hope to… Read More

I know, I know I should be tagging back to the original poster, and then tagging people I want to hear from. I’m just answering… Read More
Lockup Library Do you have book goals? Why? December 3, 2020December 3, 2020 Do you have a book goal? If so why? I personally don’t have a book goal. I’ve done the whole GoodReads reading challenge. I didn’t like it. I felt like I needed to read. Had too just so I could click another box. It gave me anxiety. I purposely chose… Read More
It’s a nay from me, sorry that I have to say that. I’m a big reader, love books, but I’m awful in clubs. As soon as someone wants me to to something on a regular basis or time schedule, I lose any pleasure immediately. That’s what happened to ninepins, that’s what happened to bowling, that’s what happened to billard, etc. You get the point. I don’t want that to happen to reading. Reply
