Look what The Beautiful One got me!

You’re all alone and the dummies might be right
Good morning. The baby one let me sleep in mostly. He was a good little boy, and was just on the bed when I woke up. Sometime in the night, twice, he was under the blankets snuggling, and I thought he was playing. So I pulled him out of the blankets. I’m not used to a kitten that actively wants to snuggle under the blankets. Pippin would come in and snuggle, but he burrowed and was closer to my stomach than Pippin would go.
Yesterday was a different one. My entire schedule was flipped upside down. I woke up, and it was dead quiet. Everything was off. The power was off. So we got up, and sat on the couch. I was chilly so we got up and hopped into the shower after the shower, and making sure work was still open, I got dressed and went to work to get some coffee for us. As I was pouring, I got a text from Crystal. because of course that would happen. So I paid for the coffee, and drove back home, where I turned the coffee pot on. I was happy that the power came back on, so I could actually make lunch.
After all that, I pull into work feeling slightly off. I just felt blahh. It was gray outside. Not a lot of sun. And it was chilly. I just didn’t feel like myself. This morning, the sun is shining. I had a really good sleep. I feel more myself.
On Sunday, we hauled the Switch to Shady Acres to show my dad one of the most addictive games we’ve played – Balatro. He listened and watched me stumble my way up to round 15. He’s played poker before, and was calling out hands. With the meds that he’s on, he doesn’t really have a lot of short term memory, but we wrote the name of the game down, and I got this text yesterday while I was at work.
I’d say Balatro is a hit over there.
I have a day off today. I don’t plan on doing anything major today. Maybe we’ll go to the second hand store. Maybe I’ll drag The Beautiful One to SlightlyBiggerTown and we’ll check out the second hand store there. Who knows, the world is our oyster.
But first: covfefe.

I woke up to silence. The fan was off. Everything thing is off. The power is out in town. That means no coffee. Or at this point nothing is on. I just texted work. They have power. So at least I’ll be going to work. BossLady says a substation is down, so the power could be out for a while.
Great.
With now power that means no coffee, food, or at this point, no shower. I’ll have to give myself a whores bath – pits and crotch.
It wasn’t too bad of a day yesterday. I had done the laundry on Saturday, so I didn’t actually do too much of anything yesterday. I made brunch, and we watched Angry Science Man on the YouTube. He’s always a good time. Interesting facts, and some comedy tossed in as well.
Then it was off to Shady Acres. my dad is doing a lot better after his operation. He’s moving around, albeit slowly, but that’s to be expected after hip replacement surgery. He really liked the basket of treats that I brought over for him. Then Crystal and I showed him Balatro. We had brought the Switch over and actually showed him some game play, and started to teach him about the game.
My mom made wings for dinner and a really tasty angel food cake with strawberries and whip cream for desert.
Hopefully the power comes back soon.

Podricks been a Podrick all morning. The BeautifulOne got up at the ass crack of dawn to take him out and distract home, because tomorrow, I’ll be up at the ass crack of dawn. Yep, for the first time in probably 3 months, I have an opening shift. But thankfully, I’ll be home in the early afternoon, and I’ll be able to sloth after that.
Finally, I beat a deck. The deck that’s been Medco g me for a couple of months. I was excited to unlock a new deck. But alas, earwax, I didn’t unlock a new deck. I didn’t really do anything, just beat the magic (or whatever that deck is called). I’ll have to go back to some of the older decks and try to beat them to unlock some more decks, like Crystal has.
We stopped at the local weed shop, and we wandered in. We like this place, the employees know who we are, and get our humour. So we walk in and I ask for my usual purchase, and ask if the big ol bag of weed that we get is on sale, and score! It is on sale. I then spy with my little eye, a new pipe. I pay for my purchases, and then Crystal pays for hers, and she bought me the pipe for my birthday!
Let me just say that I took it out for a test drive, and I passed out like that fool of a Took, after a hearty second breakfast. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out to dream world, until the flying tomato landed on my face this morning. thank you so much to The Beautiful One for getting it for me. I loves it so much. It’s my precious.
It’s just picture day here. I think this is my most photo heavy post outside of when I talk about the current video game I’m playing. But wait, I have one more picture: my dad just got out of the hospital for hip replacement last Monday, so I thought it would be nice to make him a snack basket, so my mother wouldn’t have to bake him snacks, and they could both rest. I have a $25 Apple gift card, (which part of it will be for Balatro, as we’re taking the Switch over and showing him. I really think that he’ll like it.) and a lot of snacks. I think he’ll like it. He’s hard to shop for.
