I’m a human, I’m a god damn livin thing

Good Monday morning everyone. Welcome to a new week. We’re awake, the Beautiful One let me sleep in for a little while, which was good because I was playing video games in my sleep.

Yep, Crystal has been playing Persona 5 Royal yesterday. I helped her out just a little, but as I slept, we were in the game playing. It was strangle but a little fun. I don’t know if we did to much, I just remember running around fighting the Shadows.

We didn’t do too much yesterday. I did some laundry, and made waffles for Crystal for Sunday brunch. And then I made Sunday brunch. After that Crystal packed up the Switch, and we popped over to Shady Acres, where I was asked to clean the pellet stove.

After that we all sat in the living room watching tv, as my mom did crafts, and my dad worked on his puzzle. It was a nice Sunday for sure. But now it’s back to the real world. Closing the shop for the next three days.

Persona 5 Royal review

So last week or the week before, I beat another game. About a month or two earlier, Crystal was watching a SwitchUp video on YouTube, and they were talking about JRPGs, and mentioned that Persona 5 Royal had been released on the Switch for a while. And said if you have never played one of the best JRPGs ever, you should, and that it was on sale.

Spoiler Alert: it wasn’t, but Crystal found a work around to a place that did offer it for sale. So after it downloaded and I was at work, Crystal started playing, so she could experience the opening by herself without trying to ignore it while I was playing beside her.

I believe the next day I played it for the first time. Let me say this: this game is amazing. I found it to have a bit of a learning curve. So much so in fact, I’m really enjoying my 2nd play through more than the original play through.

This game has a mix of life sim, and turn based combat. It’s crazy how well they blend together. You have to learn how to balance “work” (combat and dungeons) to “home” (school, part time jobs, hanging out with friends). It’s a delicate balance that you have to find very quickly.

Almost immediately, after completing the game, I started a second play through. The game does reward you for playing again, which is new to me, but I like how they do it.

Spoiler alert: the last nine photos are end game, before the system stopped allowing me to take screenshots.

This kind of mistake is just a small blunder! So, forgive me on account of this cuteness!

Good morning party people! We’re up and about, and Chaucer is very comfortable, under a bit of a blanket. Coffee has been brewed, and since I did laundry a couple days ago, there’s not too much to do. So until I have to work another Sunday, we’ll be back on track.

The closing shift wasn’t too bad. It went quicker than Thursday’s closing shift. That was quite possibly the lowest energy shift I’ve worked in a long time.

But here we are in a Sunday morning. Coffee has been brewed, and the chores will be started soon. Someone please remind me later, to actually get in the Switch, and get all the Person 5 pictures sent to my phone. Everyone I play I think I should to that. Then at the end of the gaming, all I’m doing is trying to get to a damn save point.

Sounds about right!

I see you driving ’round town with the girl I love

Good chilly morning, loyal readers. We whole fam damily is awake. Pippin is playing with her pipe cleaner, Chaucer is snuggled up in between us, and the Beautiful One is typing on her Chromebook beside me.

I slept like a log last night/this morning. Only waking up around 3 I think to use the facilities, and then back to bed. When Chaucer dropped his new single this morning I was awake for that, then I was out again.

We didn’t do too much yesterday. I got up and walked to Shady Acres, and picked up the truck. Then I drove to work to pick up some of the stuff that we carry that I can get with my discount, and then it was off to SlightlyBiggerTown for the bulk of the shopping. After, I dropped off the truck I ate lunch, and then played a couple of hours of Persona 5 Royal.

Twas a good day. A very nice relaxing day off. Back to work this afternoon for a Saturday evening shift. It’s gonna be a good day. I can feel it. Happy Saturday!
