The whole shack shimmies when everybody’s movin’ around

Another Sunday over, a new Monday – just begun. Welcome back to the land of the awoken. Awaken? Woke? I don’t know, it sounded better in my mind. I’m awake, and you’re awake. Here’s some coffee. It’s hot, and tasty.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. We slept in just a little, and chores went off without a problem. In the afternoon, Crystal requested one of her favourite movies – Twilight. So I obliged here and put it on. She loves that movie.

After Twilight, I started the Hot Mess Express, and we headed up to Shady Acres, where I ordered some Christmas gifts for Crystal, and we had a yummy dinner of pulled pork, rice and coleslaw.

When we got back, we watched the season 8 finale of Supernatural, and a few episodes of Law & Order. Then we headed off to bed. Crystal made it until about 5:30ish and moved out to the couch. We’ll figure out why she gets so warm, and cool her down, so she stays in the bed.

Nothing much at all planned for today. If Crystal’s package is here I’ll head up after brunch to pick it up, and grab some more cereal from the grocery store.

So let’s have a nice relaxing Monday. Work tomorrow.

Season one review: 1899

It’s been a while since I’ve done a TV review. And it’s not because I’ve only been watching Critical Role. I’m still watching that, but since I’ve finished Campaign 2, I’ve really only been watching it once a week now. I don’t really have an interest in watching Campaign 1.

So aside from Critical Role, we have been watching a smattering of other shows, but mostly Law & Order. We discovered that Amazon Prime has like 16 seasons – so to wind down at the end of the night, we’ll watch a couple of episodes, then head off to bed.

Pitter patter…

I’ll try and review this awesome show – even though I’ve only watched it once all the way through. I probably should watch it through again.

From the creators of Dark, they bring us the next instalment of weird.

1899

The Ship.

The show started out in 1899, on a boat making its way from England to New York. It’s a boat full of immigrants.

It truly starts out as a period piece, and slowly morphs into something strange and wonderful.

And now as I try to write this, I cannot do a review. I’ll end up spoiling it. And you can only watch a show like this once – for the first time. So do me a favour, open up Netflix, and find 1899. Watch it. Binge it, then watch it again, and see if you can write a review.

Go. Now.

And if you fall I’ll pick you up

Good morning fellow earthlings. It’s another day in the metropolis of TinyTown. The sun is coming up, and if you can notice, it’s a layer time in the morning. Yesterday I shut the alarm off in hopes that we’d be able to sleep in a little. I managed to sleep in, but I don’t think that Crystal was able to.

I think she was out on the couch around 5 this morning. When I got up she was getting up as well. I turned her bed up too high by mistake. I’ll have to remember to only turn it to 1.

Yesterday was a typical Saturday. No one showed up until five minutes before closing. Thankfully they were just coming to pick up the furniture that they bought the day before. But still. It’s all good. I basically sold one couch, a small sectional, and two recliners between Saturday and Sunday.

Today as you know is Chore Day 2 ™️. Nothing major, just the regular stuff to do. I usually start it around this time, but since I slept in, I’m sure I’ll be starting it shortly.

Ok, ready, set, coffee time!

Pennies and dimes for a kiss

Out like a light last night. I don’t think I moved too much. I’m a little stiff and sore, but that’s ok. I only have a four hour shift today.

Yesterday went pretty quickly. I had to wrap a couple of pieces and furniture to get ready to ship out. We had a delivery which I think went off without a hitch, one customer came to pick up a chair that I sold last week or the week before. And I had a sectional that’s being picked up today mostly ready to go.

I got a message saying that the people were coming for the sectional. So I finished that up. It turns out that they weren’t coming for the sectional. Phew. They came and bought another recliner, and couch, which I have to get wrapped this morning.

In between all of that, I was on a mission: Crystal’s discord friends were talking about starting a D&D group, and passed out pdfs of everything needed to start. I printed it all out yesterday. Including 322 pages of the Players Handbook. I’m ready. I have ideas for two characters. I think that starts Wednesday.

I’m actually going to play D&D again! I haven’t played since like grade 5 or 6. I’m very excited. It should be a lot of fun.

But that’s not today. Let’s get through work today, and then it’s the weekend. I can’t wait. I think it’ll be a little busy today. Least the time will fly by.

I just want to veg on the couch.

But before that, the day starts with some coffee. That’s where I am right now. Happy Saturday everyone.

Hit top speed, but I’m still moving much too slow

Almost. To. The. Weekend. We’re so close my friends. It’s Friyay, and I’m working all by myself today! It’ll be a nice day. I only have a couple of things that need to be taken care of today.

The coffee is ready, and I’m sipping on it right now. It snowed around 2, maybe 3 inches last night. Really just a dusting in the grand scheme of things. I shovelled the little deck outside. I’ll do the rest of the shovelling either at lunch or after work.

It’s been a long week at work. Two design nights in a row. They both went off very well. There’s one more that may or may not happen. Depends on BossLady and her mood. So you can’t rule out Wednesday for another one.

But I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Happy Friyay!
