Life is demanding without understanding

Good morning. Today we wake up with the knowledge that it’s almost the weekend! Yes that’s correct, we’re only one shift away from a few days off! Me, I can’t wait! it’s been a along week, but it’s moved surprisingly fast.

Not fast enough!

Yesterday morning, my mom texted. My gramma has a room at the old folks home. Next Tuesday. I’ve worked it out with BossLady, and I’ll be making a delivery on Tuesday, and if there’s nothing pressing at work, I’ll have the rest of the day off, which I’ll be using to help my mom move gramma. If she needs us, we’ll be available.

I just can’t wait for the day to be over, as tonight is date night. Just me and Crystal, and two huge mounds of fries. And a burger, which is pretty good as well. It’s something that we look forward to each week.

I slept through the night. I have to fix the bed a little. It felt like the weighted blanket was all up by our shoulders and heads. Not good. It’ll be fixed by the time we head off to bed tonight.

Let’s get the day started’

Though it’s cold and lonely in the deep dark night

Good morning, everyone. I am awake. I’m awake and sore, with just a touch of a headache. I don’t think that I moved all night. I’m sore because I moved a tonne of furniture yesterday, and took in two deliveries. Today will be more of the same, just moving furniture from the back room to our outside storage.

All the moving was supposed to be yesterday, but it was wicked cold. When I was planning on moving the furniture, it was around -30🦫. The weather is a lot better. It’s only -15 right now which is a lot better to be outside. So after a couple of things to do in the morning, I’ll probably be moving stuff in the afternoon.

Damn, the coffee is good this morning.

But it’s Thursday. It’s almost the weekend. Tonight right after dinner, I have to order gifts for my mom, dad, and grandmother. Then I can kick it and relax with Crystal, and some good TV.

Let’s get this day over with, so the weekend is one step closer. Happy Thursday!

And the sky is a hazy shade of winter

It’s cold out there. And dark. My weather app says with the wind, it’s about -39🦫 out there. That’s a nasty cold. I wouldn’t want to go out in it if I didn’t have to. But I do. It’s all good. It’ll warm up a little.

I slept like the dead last night. I woke up about 2 minutes before the alarm went off. I rolled on to my back, and Pippin strolled right on to my bladder. That was a little uncomfortable. As soon as the alarm went off, I rolled out and almost ran to the bathroom.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad. BossLady was pretty low-key and mostly worked quietly at her desk. Which was nice. I had a few things to do, which I got done. I’m pretty sure that the Design Night that was supposed to happen tonight, isn’t going to happen. No one signed up for it or anything. Two is enough. We got some pretty good sales from those two nights. I packed up all the gift bag supplies, and took the upstairs. Done for another year.

The coffee is nice and warm. Hopefully the weather agrees and does the same thing. It maybe cold at the beginning of the week, but it’s warming up a little bit starting tomorrow. That’s nice. I have to move stuff around and into outside storage. Hopefully I can do it tomorrow when it’s warmer.

Ok, let’s get the day started. More coffee!

These are the days when you wish your bed was already made

Good morning mes amies. It’s dark, but not too chilly out there for the few moments I was out there. It seems like the wind has died down. It snowed a little out there. Just a dusting though. Just enough to make you feel closed in standing on the little deck.

I slept ok last night. Chaucer, I think, was trying to get into a bag full of Christmas gifts that are supposed to go south. I took the bag from him. Then I could’ve swore I heard him getting sick. I couldn’t find any sick. So I tried to go back to sleep. That was around 4 this morning.

I managed to fall back to sleep, thankfully.

The alarm startled me when it went off this morning, and now here we are. Coffee. News. And a kitten in my lap. She’s not going to be happy when I hit publish, and have to get up. But she’ll get over it. Let’s go Tuesday!
