Lightning strikes maybe once, maybe twice

yawn. Good morning my friends. I’m awake, and I’m not enjoying it. The design nights went off pretty good. Crystal and I got out of there around 10 last night. After both of us had a terrible sleep.

When the alarm went off, Crystal was on the couch. Wide awake. She had a terrible time trying to get to sleep then trying to stay asleep.

With coffee brewed and lights on, at 11:30, there was a text message – “let’s all come into work for 10 this morning. Let’s all sleep in a little.”

That doesn’t help me now. It took a while for me to fall asleep. Then I was too warm, then slightly too cold. Then I just plain couldn’t get comfortable. I was awake before the alarm went off.

Now we’re under a snowfall alert. If it’s to be believed, we may be getting 10-20cm of the white stuff. According to the release, it should be starting in the afternoon. Yay.

One more design night tonight. The final push. We can do it. I won’t ask Crystal if she wants to come tonight. One of us should have a good sleep.

Pass the confeve, pls.

The start of the morning was playing the under the covers game with Pippin. Crystal started the game about a week or so back, and now shortly before the alarm, she’s up there watching for any movement. Then she’ll fox jump onto the moving part.

It’s very cute.

And a wonderful way to wake up.

Tonight is the first of two design nights at the store. It’s gonna be a long two days at work. But that’s ok. It’s a fun couple of nights. Busy but a fun couple of nights.

Crystal made some amazing tomato soup and grilled cheese naan. It was the perfect meal for a cold evening. And there’s enough for maybe a lunch and another meal.

It’s a cold one out there today. -19🦫 and even colder when you factor in the wind: -30. That’s icky and so totally not cool. And it’s not supposed to get too much warmer today.

But we can fight the cold, with hot coffee. Happy hump day everyone!

Do you have the time to listen to me whine

Good morning everyone. It’s dark, and I can’t tell if it’s still snowing, or if it’s blowing snow. Either way, it’s snow.

I slept like the dead last night. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. I only got up once in the night, and that was because Chaucer found a reusable shopping bag, and was rubbing up against it. Once he was away from that, I fell back asleep again, then the alarm went off.

And here we are.

I think Pippin slept on the bed with us last night. At least when the alarm went off. She was between us I think. It’s nice to wake up, and there’s a kitty in the bed.

The coffee is perfect this morning. Chaucer is in between us. So let’s get the day started. Happy Tuesday everyone!

And we’re glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife

Woke up to the weirdest sound. Only after the alarm went off did I see what had happened. I think Pippin knocked down the curtain rod in the bedroom. It’s an easy fix.

Crystal got up about 15ish minutes before the alarm went off. She’s wildly hot right now. I think she’s getting a little sick. I hope she gets feeling better soon. I’ll take care of her today.

Coffee has been brewed. It doesn’t taste all that bad today. Warm and liquidy. The kittens have been fed. The little black cat that has been visiting us for the last week or so wasn’t at the back door this morning. Crystal’s discord friends have dubbed him Zeppelin. It’s a good name for a kitty, if you ask me.

Chaucer is trying to get comfortable on top of Crystal. He’s worried about her.

I’m gonna do my morning stuff, and make sure Crystal is ok. Happy Monday everyone.

I got to say, this sounds a little beyond anything I’m used to

Good morning my friends. It’s Sunday, and it’s dark out. I had a kitten sleeping on my hip this morning. She even stayed when I rolled on to my back, but just for a couple of more minutes. Then she jumped off.

Yesterday was a good day. We got up, and enjoyed some coffee. Then we headed out to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries. And just to get out of the house. We got everything we needed, but we forgot the cat food. We should have enough to make it to Wednesday. I hope. Part of me is seriously thinking to quickly pop back to SlightlyBiggerTown tomorrow and grab some.

We’ll see how the levels are tomorrow.

But, today is chore day, and for the first time in a long time, it’s hair dying day! Well, technically, it’s hair bleaching day – but it’s almost the samething.

But before all the fun, we’re waking up. Well, I am waking up. Crystal has been up for a couple of hours already. From what she said the kitties were playing and snuggling, then playing the chasy chasy game, then back to snuggling a little.

I didn’t feel, or hear a thing.
