The party raged and the guests were screaming

We’re under a freezing rain warning this morning. It’s grey and cold out there. So, pretty much a typical early winter morning, north of the wall.

Good morning my friends! It’s Tuesday morning. It’s a typical morning here. Chaucer has already gotten sick, and that’s been cleaned up Crystal has the super power of knowing exactly how much paper towel to use to clean up. She has a few superpowers, but that one is pretty awesome, don’t you think?

As my head hit the pillow, I closed my eyes. I was out pretty much right away. And I managed to sleep all the way through to just about the time the alarm would go off. Yesterday, I finally remembered to change the time on the clock. It was about 20 minutes fast. And freakin loud. So I changed the time, and the volume.

I think it worked. I didn’t jump out of my skin when the radio turned on this morning. So that’s a total win.

Yesterday was a very nice day. I had to run out for a couple of minutes in the morning. After I took care of that, we made nachos for lunch. They were pretty good. And we ate like kings and queens. After the dishes were done, we fired up the TikTok and Skyrim, and Crystal played for the afternoon.

Some weirdos, some normals in the chat. It was a gray day, so it was pretty mellow. But Crystal made progress on her save file. It was a nice afternoon.

I made breakfast for dinner last night. So of course it was a pretty damn good meal. Crystal did the dishes, and then we just snuggled on the couch. It was a really good day off.

So this is what 7am actual feels like? I’m not too sure that I like it too much. Getting up this early is for the birds.

Anyways, here we are – Monday morning, as it is. We’re all awake in the Flat. Chaucer, is already holding my legs down. He’s a good boy. I think they were all on the bed this morning.

It was a pretty good sleep. I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow. I think I got up in the night to go to the bathroom. And then just before the alarm, my eyes opened.

Not too much planned for today. We decided to move brunch to dinner for today. Crystal suggested nachos for lunch. I can’t wait. But I also just kinda want to dip chips into liquid cheese. We’ll figure out the best way to consume later.

I just have a couple of tasks to do today. I’ll take care of one task in a couple of hours.

But for now, waking up, and snuggling Crystal.

I can’t believe that I almost forgot. I have really no idea what the date is. But I remembered right after I hit post.

This is the day that Doc Brown came up with time travel. You see he was hanging a clock above the toilet, slipped on some wet porcelain, and when he came to, he had a vision, a picture in his head:

Well, we’re into the meat of the weekend. It’s been a busy one so far. So I worked yesterday 10-3. I asked BossLady on Friday evening, hey we’re working 10-3 tomorrow, right? She answered in the affirmative. So that’s what I planned for. Work til 3, and the head over to SlightlyBiggerTown for some groceries, and weed. Then, it was off to the restaurant for a late date night.

That breakfast platter was just what I ordered. Literally.

I have a Chaucer on my lap. He’s been waiting for this all morning, I’m sure. I slept pretty good last night. I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night, I got up about 10 minutes before the alarm went off, and I got to have an up close Pippin snuggles, right under my chin.

I wouldn’t say it was tense at work, there’s just a different dynamic in the store. You see, I gave my two weeks notice on Friday morning.

It did not go well.

Today is the last totally packed day. Chores in a few hours, and over to Shady Acres for dinner. Other than that, no plans for today. I have a couple of tasks on Monday, but that’ll take minutes.

Coffee is ready. If you want some, come on over. There’s more than enough. Happy Sunday!

Drove my Chevy to The Levee, but The Levee was dry

Good Saturday morning my friends. It’s a dark start to the day, but here we are. It doesn’t feel that cold out, which is a good thing. It’s gonna be a busy day today. After work, we’ll be heading to SlightlyBiggerTown to do some grocery shopping and a couple of other things. Since I had a work event last night, we’ll be having our date night tonight.

I’m thinking breakfast for dinner.

We’ll see.

But I’m thinking, yes breakfast.

Other than heading into town, we don’t have anything planned which is nice. I don’t plan on doing a whole lot of anything this weekend. Looking a head, I shouldn’t have too many plans for next weekend as well. It’s remembrance day next weekend.

Not too much to report from the last week. Just busy with the sale, and trying to get as much stuff in front of peoples face as possible. The sale is going pretty good.

Man, this coffee tastes good today. I think I made a damn fine cup of coffee. So I apologize that the post is short. I’ll make it up to y’all later, I promise.

But first coffee. And the thought of bacon later on.
