Boil them, bake them, shake-and-bake them nibble on their heads and make them oooey, gooey, rich and chewy

Hey internet fam, it’s ya boy, Shawshank. I’m home from work. I survived. Barely. My allergies are in full force today. My nose won’t stop running today. Yes, I’ve taken my allergy pills. Twice in fact.

Either way, I’m home. Crystal isn’t feeling all that great today, so I made an executive decision for dinner tonight. Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum.

I get home, and Crystal isn’t playing her usual game. She’s playing Tears of the Kingdom! She’s always liked exploring, and she never got the whole map opened up, so that’s what she’s doing. And kicking ass and taking names.

Ok, I got Chaucer on my lap, so I’m gonna sign off peace out, bitches!

We in that Sunshine State where the bomb-ass hemp be

Almost forgot to post today. Crystal asked to go to the thrift store after work, and I answered fuck yeah! I got $20 in my pocket. Let’s go pop some tags! Sadly though, there was nothing that we wanted there. Although, I did see Crystal gazing strongly at the tap shoes, before walking away from them.

Work wasn’t too bad today. Just slow. It was wicked froggy this morning. Like really bad. I couldn’t see too far a head when I was driving to work, but I made it. After the sun rose, the fog lifted very quickly.

After the thrift store, I fired up Tears of the Kingdom. I have 4 bloody caves left to find and like Crystal says, I’m gonna have to borrow her laptop and find a cave map and compare to my map to figure out where the remaining ones are.

Maybe this weekend, I’ll do that.

Gotta go and check on dinner. Happy Tuesday y’all!

Somebody pour me a drink, somebody bum me a smoke I’m ’bout to get on a buzz, I’m ’bout to get on a roll

I was up early this morning. Not as early as opening shifts, like next week, but I was still up early. I had to be into work for 7 am to work on inventory. It’s so much nicer than a big box store. BossLady scanned the entire back room in about an hour or so, and we closed today to get the sales floor portion done.

We both got there at 7, and started to scan. Crystal lent me her wireless ear phones, and I found a Midsomer Murders podcast to listen to. I think I made it through the first 5 and a half episodes. I was half listening, as I was counting. At 10:30 ish the office manager came down and said everything that we had scanned over the last 3.5 hours disappeared. So we started over again.

By 12:15 we were working on the discrepancy reports, so BossLady and I left as our schedule said we only worked til 12. I’m at home and the chores have started.

Yesterday, I watched the final episode of The Grand Tour, aptly titled One for the Road. What a show. For 22 years these guys have entertained me with their antics. I don’t know a lot about cars, but these guys made it fun and interesting.

I’ll admit that I was crying when they go to their final destination. It was from their very first special 17 years ago. They did some amazing editing intercutting footage from that special into this one. Finally, at the end, Clarkson simply unplugged his microphone. Fade to black.

Wow.

I’m sure that I’ll tear up yet again, when I play it for my dad, probably next weekend. I don’t think that I’ll be ready for it. It might be too soon. But we’ll watch it together. We’ve watched every special together. So it’s only fitting.
