You wanna guess the address of the party I’m at

I’m awake, I promise that I am.

I slept like the dead last night. I slept like the dead this morning as well. Minus about 39 seconds, when Pippin was trying to get into the bedroom closet. I threw a towel at her, got up and made sure everything was ok, then went back to sleep.

But here we are. Chaucer has taken up residence on my lap. He would stay there all day, and all night if he had a choice. He always looks so very comfortable every time we can see his sleeping face. Sometimes, if he’s really relaxed, he’ll simply face-plant, and sleep like that.

Too cute.

But today is chore day. I cannot rest on my laurels this fine morning. It looks like the wind has slowed down a heck of a lot. The wind gusts are down from 90-100kph, to about 30kph. So, that’s almost like a holiday from the dastardly wind.

But I’ll get up in a couple of minutes. I’ll need to refill my coffee, and at the same time, I’ll sort out the laundry.

Two opening shifts this week, and the rest are closing. At this point, I much prefer the closing shifts. Ahh well, it is what it is.

Now I am stuck between my anger and the blame that I can’t face

Let me preface this post with, I hate the weather in the fall here. Today we’re expecting 90-100kph winds. Lemme tell you, it’s fucking nasty out there.

N-A-S-T-Y

Work was slow, TinyTown doesn’t really wake up, especially with nasty weather until around 10 or 11 am. Today was no exception. But none of that matters now, because I’m home. Where the building sounds and feels way more solid than work.

Yesterday was a flurry of activities. We headed out to SlightlyBiggerTown, after I fuelled the Hot Mess Express, and we got what we needed to get, and got the hell out, and back to TinyTown.

We played some Zelda, and then we watched Nope. It’s a very good movie, I suggest on your next movie night, you maybe pick that one.

Now rest and relaxation for the rest of the weekend. Turkey, and all the fixins for dinner. Get some!

Baby, if you’ve ever wondered Wondered whatever became of me, I’m living on the air in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, WKRP

Awake!

It’s Friday, and we’re both up. It’s a day off here, and we have a lot to do. We’ll be heading into SlightlyBiggerTown for some much needed supplies. But before that, coffee is needed to be consumed.

I’m done my closing shifts. Tomorrow I’ll be up at the ass-crack of dawn to open the shop. That should be a heck of a lotta fun. But I’ll let future Shawshank deal with that.

I’ve been playing The Legend of Zelda: Echos of Wisdom for a couple of hours each morning before lunch. I’ve done a couple of the main dungeons, and a lot of explorations. It’s very fun. I’m really enjoying the game. I haven’t had to “mini think” like this for a long time. It’s thinking on the move. And completely different than Tears, and Breath. It’s great.

Young people they can get away with murder

One. One more shift, and then, boom! A day off. I cannot wait. Yesterday was pretty slow. We got a few things cleaned and some soda put away. But it was mostly, almost totally, very very slow.

But we survived, and made it home unscathed.

Has my life gotten this boring?

Small paragraph about work. Small paragraph about something else, then a snappy goodbye?

Yeeesh.

If that’s my life, that’s ok. I’ll take it. It’s somewhat bright and sunny out there. But this time of year, that means it’s ass munchingly chilly out. Sure, it looks picturesque, but it’s totes not.

And I know we’re 3-4 weeks away from getting snow that’ll stick once it hits the ground. That’s what I’m not looking forward to. I’m not looking forward to the next 6 months of winter.

Anyways, the coffee is hot this morning, and Chaucer is snuggly. I want to snuggle, but I can’t when we’re sitting on the couch. It’s just not comfortable.

Happy Thursday!
