On a train back to Boston and we’re jumping the gun

It’s bright, hot, sunny, and Gord is mowing the lawn. I’ve been up since around 4:30, with the alarm set for 5. I woke up and yelled at Podrick for doing Podrick things. After that, I dozed.

I got up when the alarm went off, and got the coffee going. Then, I locked both cats out of the bedroom to let Crystal sleep a little bit longer. I don’t know if it worked, but from what she told me, he didn’t make too much noise after I left.

Work was wicked slow.

Tomorrow before we make dinner, my mom is coming over – we’re trying to get her out of the house more, we’ll be making some bread in the Dutch oven. It’s been a long time since we baked bread. Really she leaves the house to go grocery shopping, and to visit my dad in the hospital.

I forgot to go yesterday. By the time I remembered, we already had our groceries, and the frozen food was starting to thaw. I feel terrible about it.

But for the rest of the day I’m not doing anything until I cook burgers for dinner. Off tomorrow, working Labour Day <- that’s a little ironic, don’t you think?
