It’s getting hot in here Shawshank, August 19, 2020August 19, 2020 Yeah, it’s warm. It’s 99f or 37c here. It’s warm enough that I can’t concentrate on reading because the book is sticking to me, and I’m sticking to it. My mom is considering putting the cats out in the trailer, where she can turn on the AC. She asked me this morning to think about something light and cool to make so she’s not standing in front of the stove all night. I suggested that I can BBQ, and take all the heat. She didn’t want more leftovers, she she’ll be reheating chilli and making some Kraft Dinner. Thankfully, usually about 7ish, it starts to cool off a little bit. At least it did last night. With the heat so bad, a lot of the people that I usually see walking around, are staying indoors. I mean it’s hot, yes. But there’s no humidity! It’s a dry heat baby! Life Stop right now thank you very much I need somebody with the human touch February 11, 2023 yawn. Good morning my friends. I rolled over at one point, and looked at the clock: 4:20am. I laughed to myself, and tried to get back to sleep. I think for the most part I managed to do that. Then I had to pee. Then the cats thought it would… Read More
Life Your mother warned you there’d be days like these January 16, 2022 Good morning all you summer children. It’s dark and pretty warmish out there. And the weather has changed again. It’s supposed to be snowing all day. But that’s changed and only a 50% chance of snow tomorrow. We’ll see. It’ll probably change in a few hours. Worked yesterday. I did… Read More
Life Like, “Who’s that chick, that’s rockin’ kicks?” June 14, 2021 I’m awake. I had a massive allergy attack yesterday after mowing the lawn at Shady Acres, so the evening was terrible. This morning, I’m still stuffed up a lot. I feel like crap this morning. The covfefe is brewing, so that’ll help when it’s ready. And the stuffiness will help… Read More
I hate work, flu season sucks ass, I think I should go lift some weights. Like this:Like Loading… If Wednesday was a shitty day, then yesterday evening wasn’t fun either. I thought it was getting better. I was able to find some spin time while Shawshank had dinner. After a spur of the moment price check on eBay, I discovered I’ve got just about the cost of a new set of poi, just sitting on the floor, in the form of two cast iron door stop banks. I’ll clean them up and quietly sell them, and if I can make the money, I’ll buy the poi. Unfortunately, just before bedtime, I received a message from someone who had purchased some Lego at the beginning of the month. They haven’t received it yet. The tracking simply says “package delayed in transit”, can I figure out what’s up? Sure, lemme march down to the post office and figure out where it might be, and never mind the fact your entire state is ON FIRE. Inquiry filed, but I’m still annoyed. Then, what better way to start off a Thursday than a 4:23 am wake up call? And by that, I mean the unmistakable sound of “cat techno” as Mal worked up a hairball of impressive proportions. Thankfully, he kept it on the floor; however, my point still stands. It’s a shitty way to wake up. Not only that, but it was close enough to my regular 5:30 am alarm that my body said LET’S GET UP IT’S TIME TO PEE! I couldn’t really go back to sleep after that. Just give me one good shift this week. We need to come up with a way to handle flu shot processing. Our old drop-off window is for patient consultation now. Everything is processed at the register area, where we have two terminals. Due to physical distancing rules, we can’t to have two techs processing at the register area. Then, while we have a long line with a load of people, StressedRPh will look up and say “wow, look how long the line is”. Massachusetts just announced mandatory flu vaccines for students of any age. StressedRPh also has to be told EVERY SINGLE TIME how the system handles vaccines in general. I expect this flu season will suck far more than usual. It pushes me to put the house up and leave here ASAP, as I really don’t want to deal with the bullshit. I have two shifts left this week, and I want them to be ok. They don’t need to be fantastic awesome days of sunshine and rainbows and patients who bring me candy. I just don’t want to come home feeling so mentally exhausted I want to hide in the shower and cry for a few hours. Right now, I have enough bullshit happening in my personal bubble. Pharmacy bullshit should be the last thing I need to devote any time to. This morning, since I have time, I’ll fit in a nice workout. No matter how bad the day can/will be, I can start it off in a good place mentally. Tonight, I have chicken fajita bowls on the dinner menu. Depending on how things go at work, I might make a melty naan sandwich instead. I should probably make it anyways, before the naan goes moldy. Anywho, have a good morning. My coffee mug is empty, the workout clothes are on, and I should head upstairs. Enjoy your Thursday, my friends.
